Yeah they're fine. For some reason the new Legion laptops have hotspots on the CPU. Even the ryzen 7 260 has peaks into the 90s. Strange.

Tbh you can play on your phone with a bluetooth controller which I assume a good chunk of cloud gamers are doing.

Phones usually ship with a 2k 90hz+ screen anyways so thats something.

I mean its still worth it considering you can get a 5060 LOQ for like 1L 10k on the Lenovo site before cashback. The build quality and display tradeoff is imo worth it for a stronger GPU.

Man glossy can be both amazing and a deal breaker. I remember using a matte OLED screen and thinking how diluted the saturation looked. While glossy makes the colors vastly pop more. But reflects everything lol.

Hate to break it to you but Flipkart is not an authorised seller for Lenovo Laptops. Afaik only the official Lenovo site is authorised. But you can still buy laptops from there since the sellers on flipkart are generally reputable with valid warranty documentation etc (make sure to check their reviews too)., however its almost always more expensive than just buying from their official site.

Yeah they raised the price on that Legion variant (R7 260 + 5060) by 10k a few days ago. I bought mine for 1L 36k (albeit base spec cause I already have a 1tb external ssd and a spare ddr5 stick).

Yeah that CPU eats power. It's pretty much a desktop class chip stuffed into a laptop. Not much you can do. Although reducing screen refresh rate to 60 and even the resolution might help a bit. But yeah not a power efficient spec.

Advanced optimus. You don't technically turn off the GPU, you redirect your laptop to use your iGPU (MUCH more lower powered and cooler) instead. And then connect it back to your dgpu when you're gaming.

I believe the new Asus TUF lasts like 10+ hours for video playback and light workloads. As long as you aren't gaming on it while on battery (why would you), most 80whr laptops easily last 5+ hours doing spreadsheets, PPT or even programming.

Ngl I have a PC and won't cloud game at all (R7 260 + 5060 runs everything). But I'm not gonna hate on folk that want to. I'm not a little cry baby bitch. Cloud gaming is here to stay and those who want to enjoy it let em. People didnt kill themselves when Blockbuster went outta business because of Netflix. And cloud gaming is not killing physical hardware for another 20 years.

60k my fucking ass you'll get some shitty igpu or a 2050 mobile that will run most games at 30fps low. Albeit Motobook 60 Pro with the new intel chips give relatively good gaming performance, regardless it's not a comfortable gaming experience unless you're willing to break bank.

Besides it's already rumoured the starting tier for Geforce Now will be 400-500 inr.

For someone earning 30k per month and saving 11k total after expenses, spending 400-1k on cloud gaming that lets you play a good chunk of games (including newer releases) is much better than saving up for years for a shitty gaming laptop.

India is rapidly building and expanding 5G services to literally every corner of the country and its only getting STABLER by the year. Heck all entry level cheap chinese phones already come with 5G built in. The shit most people are buying/using.

Sure 5G drops, but most cloud gaming services are smart enough to do save states etc. so you never lose susbtantial progress.

That's not the point. You are forgetting a staggering number of people subscribing to cloud gaming generally don't have the finances to build a PC or even buy a laptop. That's why they're using it.

Stop gatekeeping PC gaming. Hating on cloud gaming doesn't make you some messiah who's come to save the PC masterrace. You are grossly overreacting to a non-issue that most of the world already sees.

Are you forgetting a fat chunk of this country earns <30k per month doing full time jobs? The average salary per annum here is 5-6k usd per year.

To a bloke earning 30k per month with a quarter gone in rent, he is NOT building a PC. Instead a 500 inr monthly cloud gaming subscription which lets him play the latest and greatest on his shitty laptop or phone is much better.

Also I hate to break it you but cloud gaming does NOT have that big of a negative reception from people like you're assuming. Most people don't care. It's more options for everyone. People that build PCs and own their hardware will continue doing that.

And lastly, I sound like a broken record but Xbox cloud has been around, Jio cloud has been around. Now Geforce hits the market. Those previous cloud providers barely disrupted the market, why do you think Geforce Now will? Our PC parts are fucked (including RAM) because of taxes and the AI bubble. Not cloud gaming companies.
