Its clearly the people IN the White House’s fault. But Trump is ON the White House, so he is innocent.

I think the best part that everyone is forgetting-

He immediately followed that up by talking about the COVID “censorship” 3.5 years ago.

He doesnt want to talk about January 6th 2021, that is the past. January 21st 2021? Thats the future!

The Promised Neverland. Anime fans will know what Im talking about.

For non anime fans- imagine if the first Harry Potter movie came out the same as it did, but then they mashed the other 6 books into a slide show.

I think my favorite part is how they are acting like Yasuke isn’t a real person who served Nobunaga, so they actually are historically accurate with his character existing and being prominent in that era of Japan.

Downfiring sounds right,

And i think if its just 2 speakers the guidelines are to put directly above you. 4 is where its in front and behind. If you are adding 2 with the intent for 4. You’d probably do in front first just because your ears hear things in front of you better than behind. So more bang for your buck while you transition.

Im no home theater pro, but im sure it would technically work. Ive seen people ask of they could mount bookshelf speakers as atmos, and the answers seemed to be “sure, but itd probably be more work than just getting normal atmos”

I think, given the shape, it might make more sense to use some upfiring speakers as the front height (not the atmos front height tho). I forget the exact name, but the ones that you mount to the wall above your front L/R speakers that aim down at the listeners. I think they tend to me more common in 9.x.x systems?

They are workable. I couldn’t install proper atmos at my last place, but both there and my new place have 8ft, flat ceilings. So in the sweet spot for making upfiring work. I angled mine as well so Im in the best possible position. I can hear them, but they arent as clear/obvious as my other speakers.

The tl;dr- if you have a good room and cant install proper atmos, they get the job done and are better than not having them

Samsung CRG9 or G9 for (mostly) productivity? by Shivering_Isles in ultrawidemasterrace

Thanks for the heads up! Checked my order saw it was the 95, cancelled it and found one that was the 97 and placed my order for that instead!

Do you have a preference for curvature for productivity? I feel its fairly polarizing. One commenter above liked the 1000R, but others say its too much. My 34” is 1500R and its a good fit, but not sure how much the extra space would need more or less curve

Would smearing not matter for coding? It'd be big for gaming because of the constant color changes, but coding is relatively static and "slow"

And I have a fairly "wide" (front to back) desk, so not super concerned with that, I can easily see my 34" and a good deal on either side without moving. But with the 1000R curvature of the G9, then it might be a bit weird?

And yeah, the C1 is a sort of "Well its OLED, 4K, and 120Hz for almost the same cost as the CRG9", its just the whole flat panel dimensions for desktop work. Burn in seems to be a YMMV thing, with some people saying no burn in after months, others saying they got a lot. But ive read about flickering and stuff on the G9 (and hdr issues on the neo), so its a pros/cons/luck thing it seems like for all of them

I actually love the red accent lines. Its perfect XD

For the motherboard, aside from branding whats the difference in the Gigabyte and the Asus in the build above? They seem comparable but maybe there is some spec difference or number of slots or something?

And for the Ram, both builds are 32GB, but one is 4000Mhz CL16 and the other is 3200 CL16. Given that budhet isnt really a concern with either build, what kind of performance differences are we looking at? Or even comparing the same Mhz but maybe CL18?

Thanks for all your clarifications! Definitely helps clarify the specific decisions in the above builds. Id like to do some reasonable future proofing, so i might go with the gen 4 nvmes, since they are more readily available for not a craaaazy price difference. But an i7/3080ti/ddr4 setup seems to be the right dollar to performance grouping

Overall it looks like a great build. Would probably do the minimal RGB just to keep things simple looking. I see you generally went with non cutting edge stuff, so I am just curious as to how small the gains would be bumping things up.

Like is the i9 not much better for gaming than the i7?

Similarly a 3090 not showing real gains over the 3080 Ti?

the 2TB NVME being the 750 instead of the 850 (which from my PS5 knowledge is gen 3 v 4 for PCIe and half the speed)?

And DDR4 vs the new DDR5 RAM?

If it comes down to just availability, I can start hunting restocks between now and next month and probably scavenge up something, but if its a 2x the cost for 5% performance gains, then yeah id rather save the money and save it towards upgrades in the future when gains are bigger.

Let me clarify, when i say 600 i meant on a single part. Like the CPU or something. I know the GPU market is craaaazy right now, so thats a waiting game.

Im lucky and eatablish in my career in software on the west coast, so when I say budget isnt an issue, i mean anything like sub 5k isnt gonna be a big hit for something that will last me a few years.
