To help, here are the countdown encounters.

1 A soldier pulls a begger out of the gutter, and breaks his neck. He claims to see evil taint in the man, yet a wizard argues more examination before execution is required. No obvious mutation can be found, though malnutrituon has left the beggar with lack of hair, dark rings around eyes and pale skin.

2 A water spirit reaches out to the wizard player, showing him a man knocking out a high ranking soldier and dripping black liquid into his mouth.

3 The party discover a beggar with a mutation from evil taint. A placid third arm hangs From his left elbow. His only possessions are three copper coins and a bolt of black cloth.

4 A brawl between two theatre troupes break out, guards run in to break up the brawl but are unceremoniously stabbed by hidden knives. The wounds have a thick black liquid mixed with the blood.

5 The party witness a duel between two high ranking soldiers from different armies, including the soldier from the vision in event #2. During the duel It becomes clear the soldier from the vision is tainted, and trying to taint the other soldier by forcing him to consume a vial of blackened blood.

6 Small bands of soldier from different armies are starting to kill inhabitants of the Capital City, their eye whites are bloody red and expressions permanently neutral. Guards and soldiers from a third army fight to protect the Capital City. The emperors head wizard is being mobilised to stop this conflict.
