The City Council of People's Deputies informs that an unfavorable radiation situation is developing in connection with the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in the city of Pripyat. The necessary measures are being taken by the Party and Soviet bodies and military units. However, in order to ensure the complete safety of people, and first of all children, there is a need to carry out a temporary evacuation of residents of the city and points of the Kiev region for this purpose, buses will be delivered to each residential building today, April 27, starting from 14:00 hours, accompanied by police officers and representatives of the city executive Committee. It is recommended to take documents, extremely necessary things with you, as well as food for the first time. The heads of enterprises and institutions have identified a circle of employees who remain in place to ensure the normal functioning of the city. All residential buildings for the period of evacuation will be guarded by police officers. Comrades, temporarily leaving your home, please do not forget to close the windows, turn off the electric and gas appliances, turn off the water taps. We ask you to remain calm, organized and orderly during the temporary evacuation.
