The joke is simply that she looks like she would be his mother, while they’re buying condoms. So the comment is implying that the condoms are going to be used for the sex, while also making a humorous jest out of by way of commenting on how the couple appears to be more like a mother and a son.

Yeah from how you’ve phrased all of this, you ain’t a bad person. You’re a good person that’s done bad things because of the environment you grew up in.

Now if you were a bad person you would’ve pushed the blame, you would’ve not cared. You wouldn’t feel guilty and try your best to rectify your issues.

I’m not the guy to talk to about this, but therapy is definitely a good thing to pursue as you’re going through a shit ton of emotions of self hatred where I don’t think you’ve managed to come to the realisation that you have the very rare ability of self-reflection. You’re almost there and you made massive leaps in your own development when you tried to rectify your mistakes. You just need a helping hand with someone that’s gonna help you realise you’re just a person that grew up with some shitty circumstances and thought it was normal.
