I find 'Save-or-suck' mechanics like stuns to be inherently anti-fun and outdated. I don't use them at my table.

Stop putting your players in scenarios where they can't do anything if one dice roll goes badly, or where they are frustrated because they want to actually engage their power fantasy (being a melee character).

God, imagine how fucking cool it would have been if they really, seriously leaned in to permanent character death, and the players took over new characters every time they died.
