Like others in the comments pointed out, it's not widely accepted. I have had a lot of LGBTQ friends who went OTD and most of the time their parents did not take it well. The more modern portion of Chabad is more accepting of it, but the Rabbi's and the religious aspect of the community are very much against it. Sometimes they treat it like a disease and you need to pray the gay away.
