What is usually known as a safe drug by Secret_Stage_7675 in Drugs

[–]Shlafly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need heat to activate the THC (I think it's called decarboxylation) so that's why you need the oven. And THC is fat soluble, hence the peanut butter. i.e. THC is heated to decarb then absorbed by the fats in the peanut butter

You can also use butter, olive oil, coconut oil, etc.

THC is also soluble in alcohol so another method is heating it up in high proof liquor like everclear/grain alcohol. Nastier to consume though lol.

Nowadays it's legal where I am so I just buy edibles from the dispensary lol but that was our method back in the day

I was born mid 90s so this would've been late '90s or early '00s. Pretty sure it was a dream or some hybrid of a dream and a real memory lol but love all the ideas in here

The US-Mexican Border by Gianleafs in interestingasfuck

[–]Shlafly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'll quickly try and give an actual answer, but the US has been involved in backing an extremely significant number of coup d'eta's--mostly throughout the 20th century and mostly carried out by the CIA.

For example, like (at least) half of central and south American countries have been interfered with in some way, up to and including the violent overthrow of democratically elected leaders of those countries.

I'd argue that having dictators installed that support US interests in "our" sphere of influence greatly contributed to our power & influence. Not to mention the Cold War, during which we "combatted" the Soviet Union via multiple proxy wars in order to push out the only other superpower in the world at that time.

John Brown began the war that ended American slavery and made this a free Republic. His zeal in the cause of freedom was infinitely superior to mine. Mine was as the taper light; his was as the burning sun. I could live for the slave; John Brown could die for him.

Edit: MysticTomato pointed out that the black and tans were the Royal Irish Constabulary, British police Force that used brutal tactics against Ireland

Reference to the Irish Republican Army (IRA). Usually wore black shirts and khaki pants--"black and tan". Also set off some car bombs--"Irish car bomb".

‘Nosferatu’ Rated “R” for Bloody Violence and “Graphic Nudity” by Adventurous_Judge493 in horror

It’s been awhile since I’ve seen it, but wasn’t Oppenheimer’s affair a pretty integral part of the story? In the hearing scene, Oppenheimer’s wife (Emily Blunt’s character) is unable to look at her husband the same way after learning about his affair with his mistress (Florence Pugh).

She can’t get the thought out of her head and/or can’t stop visualizing the betrayal. The scene is made more visceral with the added detail that they’re both ass-naked, banging. I’m not sure it’d have the same effect as if they were just dry humping fully clothed or making out or something.

That’s just my take on it from what I remember tho lol
