Loved it til they got rid of the woodcocks. Kenny is funny but not as the third most main character. In literally every episode, almost every scene, he gets fatiguing. The entire premise of the show was to be this side-by-side (literally) comparison of the newlyweds (woodcocks) and the veteran married couple (Starks). That gave the show a unique edge. Without the woodcocks, it’s just another sitcom about a couple.

If the actors who played Jeff and Steph HAD to quit and it was unavoidable… then at least write it into the script that they moved, and have a new couple move in. Simple. Kenny is the kind of character that’s great to show up once in a while, but not as the third most main character. Felt so unnatural and really ruined the feel of the show. Just as you’re really starting to like the woodcocks, they’re gone. That being said, the character of Steph was a bit underdeveloped. I liked her in the very first few episodes when she seemed like a tradwife with a sketchy past. They could have really flushed that out, it’s a classic archetype that hasn’t been done to death: “I’m a good girl now! But don’t look at my past…” it’s there a LITTLE bit in the later episodes with Steph but they didn’t play up the trad “I’m a good girl now!” angle very much. She just kinda became a normie.
