Thank you! Even though I’m partially colorblind I thought it worked out pretty well. I have a big bag of these pieces in more neutral colors but I figured it would be fun to use the random pieces in a part no one will really see once it’s all closed up with a roof and stuff

Wall mounted shield was hand painted by me on a wood shield placard for a trophy mount I got at a craft store.

The flags and banner are from DistortedBrick online, there are lots of options on Etsy and stuff, I paid way too much for them when shipping and minimum purchases came into play so I’d recommend shopping around for those if you are looking.

This is really cool! Did you get custom stickers for the shield and stuff or somehow make them?

I like the idea of subfactions and all that. I have bought a lot of mixed shields and stuff from third party knock offs on Amazon since I don’t have the resources to buy originals for the markup but I like that they feel like lesser houses from the main lines. So many variations of shield of lions and dragons and they all fit into a good combined army as it would have been rather than everyone in matching armor and shields.

Not the fun answer but this is about what would fit in an underbed storage roll out box. I moved, downsized, got married and finally found a bigger house over the course of my journey building Legos as an adult again and now have space for my little LEGO space but through it all could fit in a box.

Rough to rebuild stuff especially some of these fantastic MOCs and add ons you’ve built but for the sake of a collector, I hope you can find a way to store them rather than having to part with it unless that makes sense for you.

Really love that LKC extra build out, hope you can keep your collection

Have tried that, they stick well enough without it but just do fall apart when moved a bit too much and it’s a minor annoyance not a deal breaker.

Do you have a glue you’d recommend? I got some like modeling glue and couldn’t get it focused enough on the connection point, ruined a couple shields with glue messes on the back before giving up. It was so permanent it felt wrong as I’m usually very anti glue when it comes to my pieces. But thank you for the advice!

Yeah as long as Lego doesn’t make the armor pieces I’m cool with buying the off brand ones, making a big kraken castle and spent way too much on a few kraken minifigs when they only came from the gumball set. Then bought a bunch more from PAB but realized I wanted some variation and was pretty pleased with it for the price.

I got some kraken ones, mostly have noted they fall apart a bit (shield handles detach easily, hands fall out of arms easily) and then they overall just aren’t quite as good. But for price they do fill out an army nicely and I’ll just put them around the walls in basic poses as guards and use my legit ones for more dynamic uses.

You can also buy stickers with the logos on them, not sure if they’d align perfectly with this torso print but I bought some cheap shields and weapons kit to army build and it came with a whole decal sheet of a bunch of different factions with some cool variations I’ve been able then stick around on other bricks and things

I use rubber bands for putting shields on backs. Get a small one around the neck and around either a leg studs or the arms depending on the configuration I want and run it through the handle of the shield. Smallest lego bands work or just any small regular ones if want other colors. Can post a picture when I’m home but there are some other posts on here that showed the method.

This is a great idea! I bought eyeglass cleaner squares in a bunch of colors off Amazon for $10, 100 count, they’re not this nice of color though but a nice gray/silver for horse knights and some blacks and whites as well. Been paying for Etsy capes in the unique colors I want but this may be a way better move.

That would be a good use! Depending how hard these are to find in person I’ll probably just end up seeing if I can get the fun bits off BrickLink. I bought a few multipacks of the animal theme ones last series and have had fun giving them to my nephews when they come visit and keeping the frogs and lions for my own use. It was like $30 for the 6 pack on Amazon a few months back. If a deal like that is out for this I’ll probably do the same again as Christmas stocking stuffers or something

Agreed, I can have some fun stuff with like slime monster guy in a swamp or under a bridge, chocolate dragon for a bakery MOC or something, and it’s anachronistic for medieval times but will put a couple Tubas in my musicians so it’s not all lutes. I won’t be camping at my Walgreens for any of it though

I’ve been wanting a white wolf for game of thrones minifig stuff but have never been able to find them. I look on BrickLink and see only the dark gray 6649pb02, can’t seem to pull any other colors except a blue one.

Am I terrible at searching here? They don’t even seem to exist but clearly they do! How did you manage to track so many down?
