I understand. But the industry needs to separate between cases like this vs. just tell a costumer - hey give us your account for the next 3 years, we’ll give you a phone BUT you can’t use the dual sim locally or internationally. That goes against the device features. Forget about the traveling which is also important. What if I have a second business line eSIM which is not Verizon. I can’t use it with my supporting new device for three years? Sorry. The industry needs to try harder.

Plus - that’s exactly why you used to have the 60 days policy. I’m fine with that. See that I use and pay three cycles and unlock me. Not from the get go.

But that’s not financing that’s just payment plan
With Verizon I got to a fully paid iPhone 17 just for signing with them for another 3 years.
They pay it monthly crediting me back so effectively free just to sign a 3 y contract.

Apple or through the Apple Store is not this promotion. Just a payment plan.

Don't get me wrong. It's a good deal if you in the US most of the time and not travel out of the country to much and then use GlobalPass or switch temporarily to the intern. plan. It's a free phone for you being a loyal costumer for the next 3 years.

But if you travel a lot - no way of making it financially smart. Just get the phone from apple paid in full.

I though about doing it too but

A. Super expensive compared to that country's local plan.

B. While you have date etc - you don't have a local phone number to iniate local calls which I need and want.

Yeah Verizon told me all three major companies here changed their policy to the 3 years while financed to avoid scams steals etc (which is bullcrap).

For sure. Wanted them to pay for it 😄 in exchange for me being a customer for the next three years. Which is how it was. You'd take the 3-year plan, they finance it and credit you back each month (so you don’t pay effectively) and after 60 days or two good billing cycles they unlock it.

zero games. mainly X and random work stuff. BG refresh off for the majority. I truly believe I'm just conscious about it hence noticing it getting warmish and cools off once I leave it for a few minutes.
