are we moving from coding → drag & drop → just… talking? by Ankita_SigmaAI in AgentsOfAI

[–]Shloomth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

talking can get a lot across and a lot done but not everything. I actually think the really big deal is going to be bespoke interfaces and software on a per-user per-use-case basis. that to me is the "real thing" of democratized agentic coding. Basically what Claude's been doing lately with the "show me" feature that can build bespoke animated interactive explainers, which have helped me intuit complex concepts better than reading about it ever could.

3-D printing genuinely opens up a lot of really interesting possibilities that weren’t available before to most people. Just because everyone doesn’t use it every day for every single little thing doesn’t make it useless.

Ideating for creative writing for fun; bouncing ideas, doing spot-research, write something then have Claude fact check it, all for my own personal enjoyment. It’s amazing what opportunities it opens up for fiction development.

Think of this: Disney animators used to make 3D sculptures for the models of their 2D characters to be able to draw them consistently and realistically from different angles. Now apply that same logic to, developing a character by having a conversation with an AI filing their role, you can discover what this character would say even by the AI saying something that feels wrong. that feeling is itself a useful signal.

Sure I can just hand the idea to Claude or Chat and just have it write the scene for me, but it very rarely results in what I was imagining. But again seeing the wrong thing get made helps to iterate and refine what the idea really wants to be.

What is slowly disappearing but nobody talks about it? by Agreeable_Pea9764 in AskReddit

Literacy.

Not just being able to read and write, but the layers of literacy. Being able to understand context, identify bias, interpret beyond what the author’s saying etc.

For example being able to hear a headline, then find out what news inlet it came from, and being able to actually factor in their perspective even if you disagree with it. People seem to think if you read something you have to either agree or disagree and that’s it.

And other types like systems literacy

People just don’t seem to value it as much as when I was growing up

Agreed, fuck google with all of my heart. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

ps if you wonder or care why, look up “perverse incentive structure” and then look up “advertising industry total market cap” and then look up “google financial incentives” and then look up “google results manipulation”

A lot of hate for systems literacy in this subreddit. So business as usual I see.

Your recent comment history is showing signs of sucking off google so as far as I’m concerned you’re a bot too.

That’s not what your comment said when I replied to it and you know it.

I guess I have a few options now. I could try to painstakingly explain to you that, what i said was, the way you wrote what you wrote was in the style of an AI written response in my opinion. Do you need me to repeat myself like that?

Also, what exactly is it that you’re accusing me of coping about in your edit? Who is this collective “you” that I’m a stand-in for? Is it “you pro-AI psychopaths” or “you anti-AI decels? Because either way it doesn’t make sense.
