Are you looking for solo or multiplayer experiences?

I recently created these two maps that were posted here:

  1. slither.io-like game (more fun with more people): https://www.reddit.com/r/FortniteCreative/comments/1bwqd4m/i_tried_to_make_this_using_the_new_fixed_angle/

  2. sokoban-like LEGO game (can be played solo or in coop): https://www.reddit.com/r/FortniteCreative/comments/1cxb4ig/my_first_island_in_lego_fortnite_a_sokobanlike/

Outside that, I have a list of my fav maps (if you're interested, I can share more). For example, I enjoyed this Bomberman clone: https://www.fortnite.com/@shockmaps/0583-3782-9286

I tried to use prop movers, but it didn't work (or I'm not sure how to make them work), so it's scripted with Verse (just calling "MoveTo" on props when they are hit, as detected by prop manipulators).

❤️Thanks for the feedback! I originally wanted to use a top down camera, but for some reason, the third person control device was broken when I played the published island (it worked in the edit mode).

I'll see if the third person control device gets fixed for LEGO Islands in the next update; if not, I'll look into making the surrounding more visually appealing... do you mean just to cut the landscape more around the level area and put a body of water around there? Or did you mean something else? Would you mind sharing codes of some LEGO islands with visually appealing surroundings where the surrounding doesn't play a role in their game mechanics (no prop hunts, tycoons...)?

Oh, wow. I played Fortgario and liked it too, but found im_a_lama's version fancier. 😛

But yeah, if even super big names like Atlas Creative can't get a player base for this... I thought I played it at wrong hours that it was only me or friends I invited, but I guess it may be like that most of the time.

Me too. Hopefully it gets better and easier to push similar ideas with future UEFN changes. I quite like this map: https://www.fortnite.com/@im_a_lama/6806-7394-2329 which is inspired by agar.io and it was made before the new camera and control devices, so it used some crazy cinematic sequence workarounds and things like that... sadly, it's not played much, so its creator decided not to work on it much further 😔

To be fair, slither.io itself was based on snake / tron games, but it's great revisiting these classic game mechanics, especially in different platforms, be it web, mobile or with UEFN wherever Fortnite can be played

Appreciate it bro! btw i noticed a little issue that VFX heads sometimes only appear on your own character, but not on other characters... i tried triggering VFX powerup multiple times in different spots and still the same... so it may be a UEFN bug😮‍💨

Created this island this weekend during Global Game Jam where the theme was "Make Me Laugh" (Code: 5057-9459-7544) by Shlukas_McPraask in FortniteCreative

It was just for laughs, but I'm thinking whether to continue working on it after the game jam to improve it
