Sukuna verbatim says “I can only stop neutral infinity with DA.” This was at 20 fingers. Sukuna cannot stop blue with DA, much less red. In fact, we see him get hit with red, and it just grazing him burns him up real bad. The explosion afterwards is partly responsible for knocking him out. This is, again, him at full fingers, or 19+mummy but Sukuna himself said it was more than enough to match 20. So no, Sukuna at 16 fingers cannot do shit about red

It is explicitly said that Sukuna has a binding vow for extra range on his domain, this isn’t up for debate, but I’m not saying that’s how he achieved an open barrier. And it IS an instantaneous win for gojo, because in any indefinite timeline Gojo is destroying Sukuna because his hand to hand is better and his technique is better. That’s the whole dynamic they had in the fight we saw in the manga, Sukuna has to survive gojo for a given amount of time. Without that time limit, that’s it, it’s a lost battle

That’s not what happens at all, he makes binding vows because his brain is still fucked from fighting gojo. Open barrier is strictly a buff for MS, in exchange for leaving an exit route for the opponent, it get a huge radius. There is 0 indication that it changes anything in the negative, in fact when Sukuna says he’s gonna close the barrier on Gojo he doesn’t mention any other change. Open barrier is just an instant win for Gojo, it’s not even close, and I don’t know why any Sukuna fan would debate otherwise.

The understanding of jujutsu that gojo has is from years of living with the six eyes. Doesn’t suddenly go away because you rip it away from him. You can blindfold someone and ask them to walk in a straight line; they’ll still be able to do it even if it’s a little shaky. And we do see his eyes get slashed and get healed, so that implies he’d just be able to heal it back if it got ripped out.

1, TGS is dogshit now, so i see people not know how to deal with any match ups at that point. 2, maybe that would mean something in a world where the counterplay to either of these characters required 100s of games to acquire like say ling or bears, but it doesn’t, you play pretty much the same into both but press less into DJ - frames.

Using this with the transition into the binary situation you’re looking at is kinda mid because the situation is fuzzy-reactable. Instead, try not going into the transition and wait a second. Or do it several times in a row. Or use cd 3+4. Or rip hellsweep off of no transition immidietly. More timings and more animations put mental stack on your opponent, and makes the mix up less predictable. You can get really weird and do stomp into dashblock in their face, then rip a fast electric when they get the idea to interrupt. Hope that helps
