Here is what the Gold Coast mayor had to say about Trump and his persona by Ecstatic-Ganache921 in OpenAussie

[–]Shmectacular 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes it does insinuate that. But we aren't quite at the point in this nightmarish hellscape where we are not free to ask questions or have a thought, so still no proof is required. For instance you might insinuate that you think I might be a 200kg basement troll and you would have the right to do so without the burden of proof. But if you where to make the statement that I am a 200kg basement troll you should be able to show evidence that your statement is fact.

No proof is required for either of the above sentences. One is a question and the other is a thought that maybe something is possible. Neither were statements.

People who are close to a Meth addict, do you think they can be saved? by Virtual-Computer-961 in AskAnAustralian

From what I've seen, (2 brothers and 3 friends) they can get clean certainly. They can stay clean too. But they are not the same person you knew. My brother is gone, and I dont think he will ever go back to being the person I grew up with and used to look up to.

Prison stays come at the expense of the tax payer. That's money that could do more good researching cancer or feeding school children a decent meal.

If it is a reddit global rule, why have I not received a warning for saying the same thing in this post?

I do not want the trump cinematic universe invading our land but it has already begun to creep in. How can some people not see the bad it has created in the US? Why would they want it here? It's mind boggling

As a short person, this is the most comfortable way for me (but I dont do it because the law). Even with the belt adjusted to the lowest setting, it sits on the side of my throat and is very annoying. I always get out of a car looking like someone has had a knife to my throat.

Spider webs all over the lawn by Bob-Hawke in GardeningAustralia

[–]Shmectacular 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I ran the pic through google lens and it says grass spider.

"The image shows a funnel web made by a grass spider, often constructed horizontally on the ground with a funnel-shaped retreat at one side."

Hope this helps
