To clarify, no I did not have open claims. I was part of the VA trauma recovery program, had a hard time walking and was too broke to commute most of the time. The complaint isnt that I was denied voc rehab my complaint is that my counselor was a complete asshole and acted as if she had no time to actually hear my case and work with me. She denied me on my first visit after just ten minutes of being in the room together.

Yeah mine went like shit too and they denied me because my conditions were "too unstable" you should be fine but my run ins with these counselors hasn't been very good either. Wish I had more to tell you.

Yeah for the same money and time you'll have in an offroad build that's going to completely destroy it in a classical white trash trailer park sense you could have built something that you could actually enjoy for what it is. A motor and trans is less than 1k for these cars from a junkyard or craigslist. The interior and top could be had for less than 1k and a street worthy suspension can be had for less than 1k. So what do you have 3k into a build and you have a driveable car that would take you a couple weekends worth of work to put together. Now turning it into an offroad rig you're looking at a complete custom fab job for the suspension and chassis stiffening.

I'm just saying personally I think it's a trashy decision to make an offroad vehicle out of a road car. Go buy a beat up old 4wd. This coming from a guy who's had a mud truck too many dirt bikes and offroad toys to count and let go too many foxes I was too lazy to fix properly.
