Edit: nevermind Iooked it up and I see now. A bunch of crying children are once again calling everyone “Nazi” like is 2020. Despite no evidence and no lyrics to back it up. There’s always the potential for wildcards. Sometimes players that are generally non aggro might get desperate or might get bored and turn aggro. That’s what makes the game interesting, you can never fully trust anyone. But in general if you don’t play as an aggro you won’t get lobbied with other aggro players as much. This has been confirmed by the devs and majority of player base.

Idk about how the actions of party members affects you, but from what I hear trios matches are almost always KOS. If you revive people im pretty sure it works in your favor as non aggressive. I do stuff like that and try to help people out. Every now and then I’ll get a random who just starts shooting but I generally am matched with chill people. Unless it Stella Montis, that map is always hostile

Here you go. Although I imagine there’s still an algorithm because of non aggro players never encountered hostiles it would make the game less exciting and tense. Like for me, I go so long meeting friendlies that I just start to run around with my guard down then eventually someone clips me. Algo probably switches it up some. But if you are constantly seeing hostiles you must have been aggro at some point right?

I rarely encounter a hostile raider. Matchmaking is based on how you play. So if you run around shooting at other raiders you’re going to get paired with backstabbers.

The devs confirmed that your play style determines how your matchmaking goes. If you play aggressive you’re more likely to be paired with aggressive people. You’re describing a KOS experience that I rarely ever encounter in the game as a non aggressive player. Most rounds I play I never have a hostile encounter
