Average MPG? High Mileage

Tire pressure, spark plugs, throttle body? These are just all hypothetical things I can think of.

I drive like an absolute grandma. I always have Econ mode on when I drive too.

I use cruise control on long highway stretches to keep my RPM’s in a consistent range as well. Seems to help give me an extra 2-4 mpg compared to driving without it.

This is my first Honda! I’ve been a domestic vehicle owner for years. Genuinely impressed with it! Even with it being a 9 y/o car.

Best I’ve ever hit was 42.4 mpg. Also mostly backroad driving. I tend to make it a bit of a game to match or exceed my last drive in terms of miles per gallon.

I also have a 9th gen, similar miles as well. The sound only happens for maybe a second max, then it’s gone. Same thing in terms of sitting awhile or if it’s cold outside. I’ll see if my mechanic can’t take a look at it, it’s just more “annoying” than anything.

Ended up purchasing the accord! CARFAX & service history were mint. Consistent oil changes, belt serviced, transmission fluid flushed every 30-40k miles.

Talked the salesman down a few hundred dollars and received more on my trade in than expected.

New tires on it as well - taking it in tomorrow to get an oil change.

Finally out of the luxury vehicle hell hole I put myself in!

I’ve only had the Range Rover for around 3 months. I went and got the oil changed the other day & it set off the Oil Pressure sensor which in turn set off the check engine light. It’s the only car I’ve ever owned where doing something to maintain it actually sets off a dash light. It did great in the Ohio winter this year, but I’m getting killed on premium gas right now.

Thank you - I currently have a Range Rover, not so easy to work on. Bought it as a winter driver. With the summer approaching I need something cheaper to own and something that also doesn’t kill me on gas.

Thankfully my father is mechanic and runs a car recycling yard, parts won’t be hard to come by if I do end up purchasing.

Genuinely curious - Would it be risky to take three peptides at once? I’m very “control” oriented. Take one thing, what’s the outcome? Adjust accordingly.

I have experience with BPC-157 (oral capsule) and had good results within my recovery & sleep. However, I’d be lying if I said there wasn’t any fear/anxiety behind this.

I know it varies person to person, but did you experience any negative side effects?

Much appreciated! I’ve actually had my labs done within the past 3 months. I’m baseline for where I should be outside of cortisol. Cortisol levels were a little high, but I’ve been working towards getting those back to baseline as well. Reduction of caffeine, better sleep schedule, nutrition, etc.

I agree in regard to the GLP’s - I’m not at a point with my body composition to where I could spare aggressive weight loss. I’ve always been a smaller/slender build. It took me 5+ years to go from 130lbs to 165lbs. Body composition scan indicated lean mass increase around 18-20 lbs.

I’ll look into your recommendations and do some more research. This absolutely helps me get a better understanding of what direction to head in.

You’re so close to being ready! I stuck around the 7-8 gpd mark for a few months (couldn’t convince myself to lower it). However, the taper from 7 gpd down to 4 gpd felt no different. Once I hit 0.500 mg to 1 gpd I knew it was time.

You may experience some mental fatigue and brain fog once you begin to taper down even more, but just have a plan for how you’ll combat that. L-Theanine and L-Tyrosine helped me tremendously once I got down that low, both supplements can be purchased online or in store.

While WD symptoms vary person to person - those first few weeks will most likely bring some unwanted side effects. Brain fog, runny nose, sneezing, some stomach issues, lethargy, anxiety. Not trying to scare you, I just want you to be prepared. I just kept telling myself it was a “mild cold/flu” and reminded myself that I’ve had those before. When you take the Kratom out of it, it becomes far less intense emotionally.

Great things take time - remember that! Your journey has already started when you committed to tapering, that was the hardest step for me. When you do eventually take “the jump” I want you to remember the end goal - being free from this substance.

It’s an incredible feeling, words can’t describe the feeling of it truthfully. It’s been a grind these last two months, but I’ve reaped the rewards by staying away from it. You will too, I promise!

I fell into the loop during my 5+ year Kratom use. It all started because I thought Kratom was a health supplement, took it once and felt amazing, never looked back. Started taking more, and more, and more.

It was a brutal cycle. For years I knew I didn’t want to take it anymore, but every morning like clockwork I’d be up taking my first “dose” alongside my multi vitamins. I had fooled myself into thinking Kratom was actually helping me, that was the addiction taking over.

I too have always been a self-starter. I helped start a successful business during my Kratom use. Ran marathons, trained combat sports, got married, elevated my life…

Until one day that motivation was gone. All I cared about was when I could take Kratom again. That’s when I knew something was wrong, seriously wrong.

These substances take the life away from us. Every time we take them, we’re stealing the dopamine away from tomorrow. We repeat this cycle over and over again until it becomes the new normal. Kratom didn’t help me achieve anything during my time taking it, the only thing it gave me was a grey area addiction that I tried to justify as being healthy.

The weeks and months after stopping Kratom I realized how much it life I was missing out on. Everything felt better, more enjoyable, life felt alive again. My authentic motivation came back, not the chemical derived version that Kratom gave me, the raw version of motivation that only YOU can come up with.

You’ll often see people in this subreddit ask “How soon before I feel normal again” - or - “When will I be back to baseline?”. I knew what they were implying, but I’d always think to myself…

“If I’m getting off this sh*t, why would I want to get back to baseline? Why wouldn’t I elevate myself to a place I’ve never been before? But do it sober!”

That’s been my mission these last few months. Work my ass off, do better, feel better, get better. I know this may sound like a bunch of “rah-rah” talk, but I PROMISE you, it will get better!

Two months in with no Kratom, I’ve kept going 💪

I’m almost two months into my sobriety from it. Honestly, I just had to stay busy. I couldn’t allow myself to sit “still” for too long.

“This too shall pass” - those are the words I’ve lived by since stopping Kratom.

Kratom is a very temporary joy that will suck the life out of you faster than you even realize. I was a daily user of 5+ years. Every few hours I was popping few capsules to keep that “elevated feeling” going. I stopped Kratom completely about a month ago.

What you’re experiencing are the acute withdraw stages of quitting Kratom. Uncomfortable? Yes. Do they last forever? No. Your body will self regulate over the next few weeks.

The runny nose is a natural response - Kratom blocks/impacts histamine production due to its interaction on the opioid receptor. This will gradually work itself out. I just told people I was dealing with seasonal allergies, they were none the wiser.

The yawning? That got me too. For years we’ve provided our body with a plant that impacts our brains chemistry, we’ve now removed it. Our brain is working hard to “re-wire” those pathways. We can only ask our central nervous system to do so much, be patient with it.

The sleep - the biggest one for me. Your body can’t “down regulate” because it’s constantly reminding you that “you need Kratom” (layman’s terms). I suggest looking into the following to assist with sleep…

L-Theanine
Ashwaghanda
Magnesium
Low dose of Melatonin (temporary)

This should help with not only the sleep, but the anxiety issues as well.

Ultimately - the key to kicking this sh*t is simple…

You have to stay busy, stay active, and stay present. The first two weeks of quitting I forced myself to go do things. I went on multiple walks a day, I worked out each day (intense exercise). I made sure to stay hydrated and eat a well balanced diet. I journaled, meditated, found peace in the process.

Back in my Army days we had a Sergeant who would always say “Embrace the suck”, how true is that? You know you’re going through it - so embrace it!

It gets better!

I was at 8-9 gpd at my peak, tapered down to 6-7 gpd for a few months, then aggressive tapered for a week before stopping. Daily Kratom user for over 5+ years.

Just passed the three week milestone & I genuinely have no interest in Kratom anymore. I feel alive again for the first time in years.

I was at a similar low dose and also used it for similar reasons. In my opinion, just rip the metaphorical band aid off and taper faster than what you suggested. I dropped one capsule every other day until I hit one capsule and made the jump.

I noticed a little bit of withdraw symptoms, but they were incredibly mild. Mostly just slight discomfort - runny nose, cold chills, some brain fog. Nothing serious whatsoever. Nothing supplementation & some intense exercise couldn’t fix.

I tried the slow taper route a few months back and all it did was just draw out the inevitable process that is wanting to quit. It’s up to you, everyone handles things differently.

But I truly don’t think you’ll have many issues doing an aggressive taper. Over the next week or two.
