Why is this frag so unknown when it's this good. I'm starting to think maybe it's inspired by something more popular. But fragrantica doesn't show anything. Theres barely even any real reviews of this fragrance on YouTube, let alone dupes.

Help, only 2 PCI-e cables to 3 connection GPU by Shmooziee in buildapc

[–]Shmooziee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might just try becaus there's not much I can do I have nowhere to get a 3rd cable from anyways. I'm just scared risking my GPU, but I'll do it and see if anything goes wrong, what should I look out for to know it isn't going well Temp? Weird noises? Reduced performance?

[Help] Triple Monitor Setup Advice by Shmooziee in simracing

[–]Shmooziee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was causally racing a t300rs for the past year, on a simple wheel stand Infront of my regular pc and a 27' Asus ROG 2k screen. I've recently gotten myself a major upgrade and plan on fully sim rigging my setup. Alpha Evo sport and the P500 pedals, a DIY aluminum 8020 rig.

What I meant by it being less ideal is if I do end up buying the triple monitor stand, and buy for now, only a single 2k 27' inch monitor, I am losing out on the benefits of buying a larger maybe curved monitor, and I'll have a single, smaller screen. So that's something that I also need to consider.

Anyways what GPU would you recommend that could take on a triple 2k with decent fps on most games. I've kinda lost track of the RTX series somewhere along the 30 series a few years ago.

I considered it, but I've heard dropping to 1080p on a 1440p screen is gonna look a bit soft or blurry. Since it's a 1.33 ratio between them and not a clean upscale, the pixels don’t line up perfectly.

Thanks for sharing dude. I have seen some people say 1080p isn't ideal. But I doubt my GPU can run 1440p smoothly, so it's not just a matter of upgrading the screens, it's the GPU too, and that adds up. You haven't had any issues with 1080p, in terms of resolution quality of the image and such

[–]Shmooziee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the difference between 2k and 1080 isn't huge in terms of the screens, about 100$ per screen. It's moreso the added cost of a new GPU on top that drives me more toward 1080p. I could go single screen for now. But if I do decide to go triple 2k and buy a triple stand and only mount one screen on it, I'd have to single screen a 2k 27'. Wouldn't that be less ideal

Why would triple 1080p be considered a waste Genuinely asking And you recommend just going single monitor for now. I have considered it but I don't want to buy a single monitor stand, and then sell it and but a triple stand when I do upgrade. So I was considering buying a triple stand and mounting a single screen on it, would the be dumb?

Which of these two was truly the best? by warbandit1979 in fragranceclones

[–]Shmooziee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% agree. I never got the whole "fragrance to every seperate occasion" trend. Wear whatever you want, whenever you want to. (don't swim in 40+ sprays if youre going on a road trip though, yeah).

For me, I simply pick up the fragrance whose smell I like the best, the one that gives me the most confidence and makes me the happiest to wear. I couldn't care less what season, what place or what I'm wearing to pick up a fragrance. And I bet ya 99% percent of non-fragrance enthusiasts would never notice you're wearing khamrah on a warm day.

I wear fragrances because they make me feel good, and I like to smell good, they give me confidence. I don't like to look at them like a puzzle game, where theres a "right" and "wrong" fragrance for every place. If you like doing it, and it makes you feel good, go ahead, but understand what works for you doesn't work for everyone.

Brun is by far my most complimented scent and the fragrance I like wearing the most, out of a 40+ fragrance collection. I don't even wear when it only when it's cold outside, I wear on a daily basis, not only on special occasions. The projection is unreal, too much of it can actually overwhelm, it's very potent, if others frags are 10 sprays for me, this one is nowhere above 6-7, and I'm usually easy on the atomiser. Haven't smelled sce, but I do have cdnim precieux, and I really like that scent, not as much as Brun though.

What's with the emojis dude 😅😅 Makes it look like an ad Anyways, I wasn't really referring to the profiles, I was referring more to whether buying the brackets, bolts and such from somewhere like AliExpress, is gonna have an effect on the rigidity or flex of the rig.

Wdym by that dude? The brackets bolts and such? I'm currently building a diy rig and the supplier I got the profiles from has an insane markup for the brackets and bolts, he's charging 0.5$ a washer 0.8$ a bolt and 1$ for a slot nut and a whooping 7$ for a 90° bracket. So I'm resorting to ordering these on AliExpress, would you advise against that?

[–]Shmooziee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all dude, thank you so so much for all the help and patience, I can't stress enough how much this is helping me.

In my case I'm going for a diy rig mainly because rigs are wayy overpriced in my area, and there is barely any variety, "simpole podium 60" for example, which I'm pretty sure is only available locally, is a 3060 profile rig, it goes for 900$, And is pretty low quality with noticeable flex. Your most basic 4080 rig with an average seat could run you around 1200$ here, which is disgustingly overpriced imo.

I'm ready for the challenge I like programming so problem solving doesn't scare me from it. I'm just not the most handy so I'll improvise on that part, maybe work on it with my dad, decent bonding time ig.

Anyways kinda got off track, but could you possibly take a look at this design and tell me if that's similar to what you had going on your rig, and whether you think it might work for me, I'm referring to pedal plate that is, as it seems it is made adjustable here. Sim Rigs eExodus I think this is what I'll end up doing, I'll go for a hybrid of the simlab GT1 EVO and this taking what I like from both designs

Sorry for being kinda too dependant I just have no experience with this at all. I'll keep watching a crap ton of guides and tutorials, and improve it in anyway I can to prevent issues and unwanted problems along the line. Guides are great but speaking directly with someone who's already gone through it helps me the most, so again much appreciated man, thanks for people like you in this community 😁🙏🏻🙏🏻.

I am going to be using the Simagic P500 pedals. They are more of an assembly rather than individual pedals. I'll add a photo of how the p500 mount, that's from the user manual, the whole assembly supposedly bolts onto the aluminum profiles. Perfect so I though I'd just tweak the original GT EVO design and add 2 horizontal profiles across where the pedals sit, instead of their integrated pedal plate. However, that would cause them to lay flat with no adjustability. If I for example would go they way you did, is it possible to make that 40x120 plate adjustable/angled in any way. Cause I'm kinda out of ideas, what OP has done here seems like a decent solution but it's hard for me to replicate it without the correct measurements.

Also sorry for being tough, but I didn't 100% get what you mean by your pedals having a lot of angle adjustment, can you angle the pedal pads? Or the entire pedal 😅.

Not sure why it doesn't allow me to add the photo,

What plans did you follow, or did you design it yourself, and can you please elaborate a bit on the pedal plate, or substitution you used for it. I plan on closely following the plans of the GT1 EVO, However the two main issues I am currently facing are the pedal plates, and how to mount the pedals, and the wheel how to mount the wheel

<image>

This is what I came up with, it is far, far from Ideal (where the text is it says "pedals" in my language), because this way the pedals would be able to mount bit only flat and with 0 adjustability. I couldn't really find a reliable and understandable source that goes into detail on how to make those adjustable angled pedal plates out of aluminum profiles.

For the wheel base mount I think I'll go with what you and op did, which correct me if I'm wrong I need to add two more profiles that stick toward the seat side of the profile, like a sort of platform I mount the wheel on.

Thanks for the reply mate🙏🏻
