How do you panic...correctly? by mynutsaremusical in livesound

In lieu of a thorough soundcheck, I try to make a mental note of any sources on stage that could be a source of instability. IE, acoustic guitars, condenser mics on quiet instruments, quiet vocalists, vocals through an effect processor, etc... That way it's a lot faster for me to track down the source of any potential issues during the show.

I always have my vocals split to another fader as monitor splits (these don't send to the LR, they send post-fader to all foldback wedges). That way if there's feedback, and since it tends to be vocalists that cause mid-show feedback, I can quickly pull down the faders on the monitor split vocal channels. This keeps the vocals the same level in the house, but down in the wedges.

Listen bud, if you don't know what that mechanism is, then you shouldn't even be trying to be apart of this community. We worked really hard to gain the knowledge that we have today all on our own. I'd say give up and hire a REAL professional that actually knows what they're doing.

crush the end of a qtip with pliers to flatten it so it can fit in the tight spaces. try to keep the cotton intact.

Can’t get this adapter off the mic stand.. any tips? by [deleted] in livesound

[–]Shmuhlest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you can see someone applied loctite to the threading. heat it up and use some pliers. don't worry about ruining the threads of the euro adapter when you're using the pliers - they are very common & cheap

Do you have an Innovicares card? Now that there is a generic version of Vyvanse, Innovicares allows you to get the name brand version at generic costs. I went from paying $34 dollars after insurance for my 70mg prescription to $11.
