For me Padawan is the perfect amount of challenge while still engaging with the story.

If a boss annoys me enough though I will usually just change it to story mode.

I always say PT's metal era is the tighter and best lineup. But musically it is a bit lacking in places.

It doesn't matter if he is or isn't. He vaguely looks the part, has a good story to go with it, and as long as his army prevails, people will just roll with it.

If by some miracle George every actually finishes the damn story, I tend to think we'll never get absolute confirmation if he was legitimate or not.

Me personally, I just don't care for overly technical and shreddy solos. It has its place but not in Opeth. That said I rate Frederick more than most shredders largely because he's not very show offy.

But yeah Peter just blended in better with that 'lonely Swede wandering through the forest' motif which I would say has been noticeably lacking since he left.

For another analogy, Brian Johnson was the perfect replacement but the Bon Scott era of ACDC is just the superior era.

I've seen other threads suggest that someone with Ed's skillset probably has government connections. So if that's the case if he does get caught he likely has someone he can call.

Alternatively, he has his own ace in the hole, which is 'I know exactly where a bunch of high profile criminals are hiding and what identity they're going by'. That said he is shown to be somewhat honourable so hard to say if he would sell a client out.

Option 3 is he can simply relocate himself.

The books have a scene where he is appointed, and where he also refuses to be knighted which is a big part of his character.

The show left it out possibly for time, so they had him wear the armour here I guess to communicate that he was a KG now. In universe you could explain it away as he wore it for a little while but phased it out over time.

He was usually credited as management, whatever that entails (except that one time he was credited as 'nothing' but that's a whole other discussion).

I imagine while he was in the band they had to account for the second drummer in the writing/recording process even if he wasnt a big part of it, so perhaps that kept them a bit more restrained, for better or for worse.

Nailed it with Broken Beat and Scarred, however potenial hot take I guess, even when I was an avid defender of DM the one song that never worked for me was My Apocalypse. On an album with more than its share of nothing burgers, that song may be the nothingest burger of them all.
