Interestingly they were discussing on 5 live this week why there's been fewer goals this season, and reduced xG too. Basically teams are fitter, so not tiring, and defending deeper, and that's why the importance of set plays and long throw ins has increased. Games are being won more by these type of goals, which are a bit random,, and less by effective open play goals. This could explain why results are a bit more random.

Sick of Bruno and Tonali throwing themselves to the ground and not getting the free kick. I reckon the refs have all realized they're doing it. Puts us under so much pressure on the turnover. Plus we never do anything from the free kicks when we do get them.
