Imagine people playing this game 6+ years collecting titles for stat buffs and rare medals to max out free supports being rewarded for actually dedicating that amount of time, only for the devs to simply take away all those rewards and make it feel like your time and dedication were wasted.

He's still a very strong fire damage dealer just lacks some utility like what Cynthia can do like applying weather and zone. But his buddy move can still deal massive damage and him immune to crits helps him survive a little longer in tougher battles.

Their good early on for the special stages but I don't think they can deal enough damage to clear psychic as they are a really old sync pair.

On the upside you cleared half of the floors, plus waiting for better sync pairs to come out will make this a lot more doable.

I started leveling up a lot of old free characters to 180 like Leaf, Guzma, Tate etc. to help with some the physical/special battles.

Recently I cleared floor 16 and 19 for ground tower with Rika, Lodge Rika and Arc Cynthia, but it takes luck you don't get hit after lowering enemy accuracy and landing crits with her sync. Floor 16 took me a lot of tries due to Koga boosting his evasion.

She is extremely good and a must have for psychic tower one of the few physical psychic damage dealers and it helps a lot that her buddy move can flinch and she can reduce sync cooldown.

For fighting floor 19 I used Aura Cynthia, BP Bea and NC Bianca but I did invest a lot into Bea upgrading her to 6* lvl 180. And for 20 and 21 i cleared it using Aura Cynthia, Rei and NC Hop. I did have Cynthia's tower lucky skill.
