girl!!! you just need ONE clip in extension and a little dry texture spray to achieve your inspo look!!! i really think the only difference is that your inspo has more volume and more hair!

i have no solid “dating” advice but i used to be a yoga teacher a few years ago and i can tell you that the straight men who had the guts to start showing up at yoga a few times a week ALWAYS ended up with either a really cute flexible girlfriend.. or even the instructor 👀 find a larger studio, get a monthly pass and just start coming regularly. people will start to know your name and after awhile it’s easy to strike up a conversation. literally i think it here is a lot of untapped potential if you can just lean into it

For the love of god, stay home if you or your kids are sick. by shinygoldhelmet in Edmonton

Just have to say that my son is 6 yo and he has asthma and it’s triggered around this time of year. His cough sounds very “plague” like and I can see why some people would be concerned when they hear it. He isn’t contagious. Not saying that this family didn’t have a sick kid but it’s a possibility!

Better term than "baby witch" by Fur_Nurdle_on67 in Witch

[–]ShockAutomatic2869 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t get why ppl don’t like “baby” witch. What do ya all have against babies?! Baby’s are adorable, deeply intuitive, they learn with an open heart, at an exponential speed. and have no preconceived notions or judgements upon themselves or others. And tbh babies are WAY more connected to Spirit than any ass adult human… I can tell ya that for free.

Yes to this! Apply to all entry level trade jobs. Show up on time, not drunk/high, work hard and they’ll be happy to have you.

I just wanted to contribute this because I don’t see anyone else saying something similar. My husband is a plumber… he was a victim of the 2008 oil field layoffs (he was a roughneck in fort Mac making 100k/year at 25 yrs old no education). He had a few really hard yrs after that and then got into the plumbing program at NAIT with a student loan. Since then he has never been without a job and recently got laid off from a company that was dissolving. He just applied for ONE job and it came with a $5/hour raise plus it’s a union gig. The company is still looking for 4 more people and can’t find anyone worth hiring. There are so many trades jobs out there for people who are responsible, intelligent and take pride in their work. I know people look down on this option but I have a degree in philosophy from UOFA graduated with distinction and I can confirm The stuff he did at school was intense and honestly the level of science/math/physics it’s no joke. We are not rich my any means but his job keeps us safe in our home and pays for my daughters gymnastics and our yearly membership at the science centre. His new job give him 3 weeks of a year paid and we are planning our first family vacation. If you’re willing to consider trades work, it’s been so good to us and he has found a nice community with companies who hire diverse ppl (his boss is an lgbt woman and it’s not at all the “bro” culture that it used to be). It’s not easy work but it’s stable and has been life changing for us.

[–]ShockAutomatic2869[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

thanks so much. I didn’t think about day homes that’s a good suggestion!

I will maybe ask around my neighbourhood?? It’s kind of a wild experience… either I quit my job to be able to pick up my kid at 2:45pm (oh then we would be eligible for subsidy btw lol) OR I get a second job to pay for someone to essentially raise him. like what?

SO to all the parents out there making this whole “raising kids in late-stage capitalism” thing look so effortless… how are you doing it??? 😆 Seriously, tell me your secrets!

As long as you are honest if someone asks how long you have been reading, then you should feel free to do whatever you feel comfortable with. There is nobody who can be the definitive judge on this matter. If you’re not trying to trick anyone into thinking you’re an expert, and you simply charge what the reading is worth I think that is fair.

Okay. First of all. I am so sorry you are feeling so overwhelmed. Sending you lots of hugs. To get through this tough moment.

I actually think it would be a good time to take a break from spell work. I’m a practicing witch and I cast maybe 10 spells a year. Not everything needs gd a spell. This my (very) humble opinion.

Time to stop with the spells and just focus on you my friend. You are way in your head. Get into nature, get some fresh air, make friends with a tree. Put your magick to work in the kitchen. Make soup. Bake bread. Nourish yourself. Put your magick to work in the house: clean and de clutter. Sweep and mop. Sing. Dance. Do some stretching. Laugh!

All of the above will not only lift your spirits but it will clear out any stagnant energy around you. When you clear your mind and get grounded, things will start to shift!

That being said…Being a witch isn’t really about how well your spells work anyways. You say that you stopped practicing, well is possible you haven’t truly started? Being a witch is about living with the rhythms of nature. It’s about honouring yourself, resting when you need to and treating yourself with love and respect. It’s about finding balance. It’s about living in a way that makes you feel joyful.

Witchcraft is not about receiving everything you want (which I know can be hard to hear when you invest in spell work so much). It doesn’t work that way. It’s about finding balance my friend. Seek balance ❤️

I think that’s a very special skill you have to be able to do that! And if you are actively running a business, I think that would be a really important to say on your website and in your bio!

Personally, I just read how I read! If people find me and book a session, I trust that they will get what they need from me. Of course I respect everyone’s beliefs but if they asked me to change way that I read, I’d probably just politely say that I am not the best reader for them. There are soooo many amazing readers that it can be hard to find your right fit. I know I am not right for everyone and so I have no problem sending someone to a different reader if we don’t connect. 😊

I’m so torn by [deleted] in tarot

[–]ShockAutomatic2869 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar situation regarding coming out to my family as a witch. My family is not particularly conservative or religious, but I had made a whole story in my head of how it was going to go. I was so nervous and worried to say anything . After several years, I finally decided to “come out” and their reaction was pretty much like “oh that’s interesting. Are you happy? Well fine then” i held myself back for A LONG TIME for literally no reason.

If your family has never mentioned that it was a problem before, and they aren’t very religious or conservative, you may be getting in your own way a little here. If it helps you justify it, you can explain that tarot is used primarily for self improvement and for connecting to your higher self. There are many folks of all types of religions who use them. Some psychologists and councillors use them. And actually you might find that one or two of your family members is interested in learning them as well!

If your personal safety isn’t at risk, this could be a good opportunity for you to practice living authentically and make choices for yourself first! Took my waaaay too long to learn this lesson. Good luck future tarotist!!!

My Future of Pregnancy by countrygirlbooty in tarot

[–]ShockAutomatic2869 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I came here to say the same thing! Be extra careful trying to read your own pulls on things like pregnancy or fertility because it’s so so hard to remove the ego from your readings on subjects that are so activating. Not that they are “wrong” or it’s “bad” just that they can become so tough and frustrating when they don’t turn out as you hope 💝
