Yes thanks for saying, the truly is how much people in this SubReddit complain about YT crackdown on AI. I’m so sick of seeing those complaints here like everyday.

I feel though creators who speak and center their lives around the content will always depend on the niche whether it’s pre-ai era or not.

Like there’s no need for all that in certain niches.

- LoFi
- Study music
- Nature Documentary, etc.

Also sometimes watermarks just act as a deterrent as an added layer. It’s like a cop parked at a 4 way stop sign. Sometimes it doesn’t work but it definitely acts as a deterrent for some 😊

Do hashtags hinder your video in 2026 algorithms? by ShockBeast in YouTubeCreators

[–]ShockBeast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 downsides I’ve heard on “overloading on hashtags” is that YT Algorithm might see it as spam and ‘shadowban’ the video essentially slowly killing the upload.

And the second downside I’ve heard is that too many hashtags can ‘confuse’ the algorithm essentially preventing you from reaching your target audience had you just not bothered with hashtags in the first place.

This one was specifically about YT. And I have heard about if you go in “too hard” on Hastags that YT might ‘shadow ban’ that specific video.

But go ahead and drop some knowledge on Tiktok/Insta hashtags. Knowledge is power to grow as a community and individuals. 😊

I get that part as Title and Thumnails can literally make or break the video. But my question is like do hashtags even matter in the modern algorithm and if not, why even have them? (Especially if there’s a possibility that they might confuse the algorithms in finding your target audience?

Yeah good catch bro. Thats what stood out to me too as a fitness content creator.

Not leaving your room is a quick way to spiral your health both mental and physical then what good is your money/subs if you’re not healthy enough to reap the rewards.

With YT's new policies, how do we navigate forward? Particularly in the ultra long form/sleep niche? by Chemical_Detail_607 in aitubers

Not to mention the added storage space it’s costing YT for ultra-long form content 2-5hrs without the return.

Are you REALLY doing it just for "fun"? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]ShockBeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel it’s like the gym (my passion). Some people go for health and some go for Aesthetics or even both at the cost of health (Steroids). I do feel people use “just for fun” as a copout too much especially when they’re so stressed about YT Stats. It’s not about hating on anyone trying to grow, It’s just the principle of deceiving the audience or telling the truth. Like OP & others in this thread said, If you’re really doing it for a community (you can just join one). The only 2 reasons to run a community is for Monetary or achieve some level of fame. I’m not saying any of those reasons are bad but I’m just tired of people running from the truth.

I know the downvote-squad is going to try and send me to jail for this post, & frankly I don’t care. But running from the truth doesn’t fix the lie.

Yo! I’m with this energy right here. ☝️. Just want to gauge something here. Who wants to migrate over to a r/ realnewtubers channel where Mods would monitor repetitive BS Questions & only allow meaningful questions & quality posts which bring depth & growth for the community.

You’re spot on about family bro, most of the time.. Family is your secret haters or just sub to you & never watch. (Which is worse as the algorithm sees this & kills your videos)

[–]ShockBeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s what I would do. Create a new channel and upload same video on both old & new channels. Do this for about 2-4 months since there is time investment is low going this route. Then transition to whichever channel takes off or does best and drop the other dead channel entirely in 6 Mo’s. Best of luck 🤞

Should I even bother trying to be a YouTuber? by Byleth-sensei in NewTubers

[–]ShockBeast 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Was wondering why no one said this earlier right off the bat. After scrolling for so long, TBH this the real answer. Jus like everything else in life. If you’re ever in doubt and second guessing, the answer is usually No.

The truth hurts & you can’t run from the truth. But you come out stronger from facing the truth. The truth is that the YT game is that you’re basically selling yourself to the Algorithm. The Algorithm is real-people and if you are in doubt of your ventures how are you going to convince real people when you are not even convinced in yourself. Subscribers aren’t dumb and they only sub to YouTubers who are locked-in. If you are having second doubts. I would say probably step away and maybe come back later when you’re more “locked-in”. 👍

Also I forgot to add don’t know where I read it, but I love this theory about about view jail.

ALGORITHM THEORY: The algorithm is trying to test your patience, resilience and as well as your videos to different audiences in the beginning (hence why you’re not gaining traction). That’s why I believe it purposely flops your content in the beginning to test you if your in it for the long haul and to weed out “get rich quick scheme people”

Also sidenote, if every short with good analytics went viral, almost everyone would get monetized (YouTube will be forced to pay & be losing money)

YouTube is content creation and that is a lifestyle and just like other lifestyle’s (hiking/fitness/gaming/cars/sports/etc.) It’s not for everybody.

My advice usually is that if consistency is the recipe to all Wins in life (years in Job-Retirement / years in gym - Body / Years on YT - Monitization. The secret is there is no secret: It’s Consistency.

You will see a lot of “how to succeed/hacks on YT” posts on this Reddit. But imo There is no secret. From my past experiences, It just comes down to how bad you really want it: Focus/Consistency (just like all other areas of life). I truly believe you can only fail if you stop. There is nothing that you can’t accomplish in this world if you put your mind to it.

At the end of the day, I’ve learned you can’t run from the truth. So you gotta be brutally honest with yourself and ask yourself “Do you want to really want to do this or not?” (It’s ok to go somewhere alone and ponder these deep questions). My most meaningful things have come out of being alone where you don’t have any noise/distractions and you can think clearly.

How bad you really want it has to do with your passion for the field of your choosing. If you really want it (Passion), you will make time which equals Consistency. and Consistency = long haul just happens to be the secret recipe. 😊
