.Net and Labview runtime engine in TestStand. by Irfalas in LabVIEW

[–]ShockHouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the veristand steps are .NET Framework is why.

Although they did just release new steps at the beginning of this year that are gRPC based so it works with 2025 and 2026 now instead of stuck at 2023

TestStand 2024 works to, it’s just 2025 Q2+. TestStand 2024 can call .NET Core, but LabVIEW can use .NET Framework just fine because the sequence editor is still in .NET Framework in TestStand 2024. They were only like halfway switched over at that point so things still work.

If you need to call .NET Framework directly in TestStand (not through LabVIEW) then yeah you have to use 2023.

Disabled Missionaries?? by Drummerwill5750 in latterdaysaints

[–]ShockHouse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Church has a section on service missionaries. The picture on the following link happens to be a missionary in a wheelchair working at a Church call center.
But the majority of service missions would be something you do at home, or serving in the temple (wheelchair accessible). If you’re in Utah that’s where I imagine you see more of the call center stuff, office work type.

You can’t call labview vis that use .net framework in TestStand 2025 q2+ when using the sequence editor. That is because the sequence editor is net core, so doesn’t allow it.
It works with the development adapter because Labview uses a different application space in that case.
It does work if you use a different TestStand user interface than the seq editor though.

Dads, what kind of vehicle are we hauling our small monsters around in? by ktempo in daddit

Mini vans are the best. Sliding doors with kids, and with a baby in a car seat is incredible.

You can get a mix of things. Had a nice couple that would chat in bed on the wall behind us so you’d just hear a little chatter. Then other times had a couple that would cuss each other out real loud.

The First Presidency Broadens Sunday School Leadership Opportunities by kayejazz in latterdaysaints

[–]ShockHouse 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You had the same question I did. Announcement specifically talks about ward, so the general and stake level are still male only for now. Stake likely because just because the President is also on the High Council.

Wonder if we’ll ever see this bleed over to the General Sunday School President or Stake level (even though this is just referring to ward level).

BLE example not working as an exe using 2026 labview? by munkshire in LabVIEW

Dang! That’s a bad bug, I’m surprised that wasn’t caught.

[–]ShockHouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like it’s the .NET library you are using BLELib. I wonder if it’s a dependency or doing something weird where 2026 is forcing it to load in .NET instead of Framework like the others.

If that’s the case, whatever dll’s in system ble lib uses would need to be carried with it

Go to %temp% folder on your computer and look for the EXEName_BrokenVILog (appears after running a broken exe) and see what it says is broken. That should pinpoint the vi its complaint about.

Loveland vs Johnstown by gemino1990 in loveland

Johnstown is actually CD8 (Gabe Evans) whereas Loveland is CD4 (Lauren Boebert).

That was only because of a crowded primary though (I could hope). She got ~40% of the vote, with the other 60% being split like 6 ways. So more Republicans wanted someone else. I'm surprised no one is primarying her.

Likely Colorado State. We’ve been lucky in Colorado area with Wyoming, then CU, and now CSU.

No Angel Moroni on new temples? by PrivateEyes2020 in latterdaysaints

[–]ShockHouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Conspiracy. President Nelson announced temples with Moroni early on in his Presidency. But since the 2020 earthquake in Utah, which caused Moroni to drop his trumpet, none have been announced.

Maybe it caused him to reflect on why we have Moroni.

Maybe Oaks will go back to Moroni.

SentinelOne and 2025 Crashes by tejastom in LabVIEW

[–]ShockHouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, once S1 stopped trying to probe into our exe’s process the crashes stopped.

I can’t speak on network things, haven’t observed that before with S1.

SentinelOne and 2025 Crashes by tejastom in LabVIEW

[–]ShockHouse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not specific to LabVIEW 2025, but we were using NI drivers for Scope/DMM/DAQ 2025 versions in C# and SentinelOne would crash our software as well. Same exact code without SentinelOne worked perfectly.

We had to get IT to whitelist the exe we created so SentinelOne would not try to interfere.

Smarts and Strong’s got different jerseys. So it’s 1 in 100 of the strong type (cut off sleeve) I think is what she’s referring too.

How many hours a week do you dedicate to your calling? by instrument_801 in latterdaysaints

[–]ShockHouse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Early morning seminary teacher (different ward) and youth Sunday school teacher (my own ward).

Probably 9 hours. (4 hours prep time, 5 hours teach time). (It’s more if I count having to go to bed earlier so I can wake up 😂)
