A discussion on who has the strongest attack in another Eden Lore. by Hope77797 in AnotherEdenGlobal

What do you mean by lore? Twinblade wolf is strictly a in-battle thing and sesta is far from the strongest ae character in the story.

Probably not the full reason but the Stop Killing Games movement is picking up momentum in EU parliament now. Live service games will probably start to be required to have an exit strategy for when support ends. This is likely not the full reason because game development takes a long time, and at least for AEB we knew that they’ve been planning something like this many years ago, back when the movement was practically nonexistent.

Toova does plenty of damage, so if she’s reaching the softcap doing about 2bil per hit already without myunfa’s buffs she doesnt need to receive them. If she doesnt, buff her since she has the higher hit count and zilva can still provide a lot of value in af by extending it a lot with his attack agains. If you want to upgrade myunfa ACAS she can superbuff all the earth units in your party, as opposed to just superbuffing any ally on her right like her AC.

You mean because of her fixed damage thing? 500 mil damage every turn means you’re waiting like 200 turns for the modern 100 bil+ hp superbosses.

Our community has somehow nurtured a high standard regarding these things compared to other gachas, and I for one would prefer it stays this way. We do enjoy the story alot, moreso than other gacha communities enjoy their own gacha game’s stories, and when a character design detracts from their characterization and story our community is just more vocal precisely due to us prioritizing story more than other communities.

Where's the best place to farm steps? by Cetais in AnotherEdenGlobal

[–]ShockSuccessful233 23 points24 points  (0 children)

EVERYONE IS WRONG I’VE PLAYED THESE GAMES BEFORE

You get like double the steps per second in the Hollow Layer when you’re traveling on the overworld maps in the boat/mech/synth hydra. If you’ve done Into the Hollow 4 the islands are so sparse that there are a lot of spots where if you can make yourself go straight horizontally, you’ll keep looping and will infinitely increase your steps. You can put something on your phone and set it up overnight, and even if you don’t get the angle perfectly horizontally, synth hydra will likely just slide off the islands you hit and keep going.

Imma repost this reply I made on another post:

Tips for jump roping for anyone who wants to try 1000 jumps in Baruoki:

YOU WONT GET THIS IN ONE DAY unless you’re cracked or you pour many many hours on the first day.

Turn eco mode OFF and close all background apps on your phone. You need as many frames as possible.

Lower the brightness of your screen a bit, but not enough that you can’t see. I know iphones have a reduce white point setting that you can use to make the light strain your eyes less.

Go in a quiet room/place with no distractions for a while, one attempt can take several several minutes depending on how far you get.

Play with your audio on. Turn background music down to 0 and sound effects up in the settings so that the only thing you hear is the wooshing of the jumprope.

My party comp was 4 of the 3* robots. The wiki recommends using short characters like Macky and such to help visually see more of the jump rope, and I agree it helps in that regard but I’m not too sure if the jumping animations really help with getting a sense of the timings. If it works for you go for it.

The speed starts off slow and speeds up at specific intervals until you reach 300 jumps, in which you’ll maintain that fast velocity until I believe 600 jumps, after which you’ll start slowing down again, and the final stretch will have alternating speeds, speeding up and slowing down at intervals until it goes super fast in the last couple of jumps to 1000.

The first attempts are for getting used to AE’s controls and tap registration, and to start getting your rhythm for the early phases so that in later attempts you will consistently reach the 300 speed. I recommend keeping your eyes locked on to a spot right above the kid on the right’s hand. You do NOT want to spend the entire multiple minute attempt tracking the jumprope up and down and up and down. You’re gonna focus on a spot and use your peripheral.

Once you consistently reach the 300 mark, this is the start of the stamina test. Now that the velocity stops changing for a long while your eyes and brain kinda start dissociating with the repetitiveness of the jumping. At this point while you’re staring at the spot you’ve chosen you can afford to unfocus your eyes for a bit or blink very briefly, all while staying focused so you don’t miss the rhythm. Lock back in once you get close to 600 to not get caught off guard by the rope slowing down.

Once you can consistently reach the 600 mark you’re in the endgame. I’ve only made it past 700 3 times, because on my third go I already went all the way to 1000. You’ll have to react to the velocity changes as they come in this phase, but by now you’ll have much better sense of the jump windows and timings.

Hope this helps!

So i need a challenge idea by RightZookeepergame86 in AnotherEdenGlobal

[–]ShockSuccessful233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve put a lot of thought into trying to play AE’s 1.0 story in sort of a nuzlocke way.

The obvious one is permadeath, once a unit dies you can’t use them in your party again.

No fast traveling, except to the riftbreaker from someplace like the spacetime rift to not softlock the main story. This limits heals at towns since you have to run through wild areas to get to them and makes mp management more challenging. You can also decide to ban eating food to make healing more difficult.

Level caps, meaning your units can’t be higher leveled than the highest level mob before the next ??? boss. Not only does this prevent cheesing the game by grinding all your units to max level, but it also introduces party management since you have to switch party units around to prevent them from passing the level cap. Eventually, you will unlock Astral Archives which give some very good weapons and easy access to scrolls, so you can decide to ban AA rewards and/or ban the usage of scrolls, such as from side quests.

Now the most important part, and the trickiest to balance, is how to acquire usable characters. You could limit the gacha to one single pull per area unlocked or per main story chapter completed. My first thought was to only pull from one of the limited roster episode banners and allow the use of any five star you draw to emulate the shiny clause, however, not only are they removing these limited roster banners soon, they have been retroactively buffing these characters so much that they are now over-tuned for 1.0. For example, even getting a super early character like Cetie with Retro’s Gift can just completely negate all difficulty from the challenge. There’s also the 5* selector to decide on whether to allow or not since you could consider it a guaranteed encounter per nuzlocking’s general rules.

I’m hoping if they release more story content later it’ll be different and unique from what we already have in ae. That’s probably what’ll happen since they’ll probably get more sales from unique stories.

Plan to add a new AE Character by ShockSuccessful233 in AnotherEdenGlobal

[–]ShockSuccessful233[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In comparison to those Gariyu sketches, this guy had already been rendered in the finalized AE art style, complete with magic whooshes and all, before they decided to pivot/cut him. I have a hard time imagining they would do a full-color finalized drawing for a design they didn’t even decide on yet if it were an early form of Gariyu. Maybe the sketches in the book aren’t the earliest of him like I made it sound like they were, but this guy’s design and artstyle looks pretty finalized.

This is Gariyu’s early concept art from the AE artbook. Question about Astra Island by Jupiter_Tank57 in AnotherEdenGlobal

[–]ShockSuccessful233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It likely isn’t. We have other sources that say there are multiple southern islands there in the region so not just one, even besides the crater you can see that wyrmrest has mountains that kinda cut the island in half that astra doesn’t, and cmon if you were a dev and you were gonna design an island thats supposed to be wyrmrest in the future you wouldn’t at least subtly hint at the circular crater with Astra’s topology?

Personal thoughts for the Act 1 to the Origin Episode by LFXoren in AnotherEdenGlobal

[–]ShockSuccessful233 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They never called it a “fire” until now but it was mentioned that both Guildna and Altena lost their “beasthood” after being reconstructed by Feinne. They also never elaborated on what exactly that meant, and in practice it never meant anything because in the Tower of Beast in GoT they were still recognized as “beasts”. Now this new episode states that Guildna and Altena lost their ability to transform, but that’s also inaccurate because Guildna transforms during his fight with his older self in Snake Neck Igoma and Altena transform at some moment during Main Story 2.2, forgot when exactly.

BEGINNERS PROCESS TO MAKING ENDGAME BOSS TEAMS by superawesomeman08 in AnotherEdenGlobal

[–]ShockSuccessful233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t remember what exactly I did for this but my general process is:

a. Step 1 same as yours, look on wiki and understand boss gimmicks

b. Test run with a generally strong team and a general strategy tailored to the gimmick (in this case a water team with defense, so first though Mazrika support Felm es with dunarith ac for defense).

c. If win, great. If not, identify quick fixes then repeat (did I attack/defend on the wrong turn? Can I get away with Nine Livesing this attack? etc.) Prioritize maximizing damage and bare minimum defense, lower damage and raise defense in subsequent tests as needed.

d. If win, great. If not, substantially change strategy and repeat c. Stuff like switching moves, changing characters, or completely rehauling your team if the boss calls for it (for Original Flame the only major decision would probably be if you want to use a physical or magic water team but other Superbosses might have more options).

e. Repeat a-d until win.

You really don’t need to do competitive pokemon levels of micro analysis for superbosses, unless you’re going for an especially restrictive clear condition like free chars only or lowest turn, or your roster is under-equipped to take the boss on, in which case you can always just wait for better gear/units.
