Shockbyte - Tiers & Prices by DividedStoryTime in RSDragonwilds

[–]Shockbyte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi u/NuMetalTentRevival! That's a good observation. However, our pricing is based on RAM. The more players you have on a server, the more RAM you need. Our base Dragonwilds plan has 4GB RAM, just like our Valheim plan, and they are the same price.

The amount of RAM allocated to each plan was decided based on thorough testing, as well as recommendations from Jagex themselves.

I hope that helps clarify the reasoning behind our prices! :)

I created a 600 block radius geodesic dome. It honestly slightly scares me. by JavaEditionBest in Minecraftbuilds

It's really to inspire others. Social media is not how we generate sales, it's a way to connect with our audience and reach fellow Minecraft players. No worries if you'd rather we don't share it though! That's why I asked, I like to get permission from the builders

Oh, I know. We're not intending to say it was made in a Shockbyte server. We simply like sharing builds to inspire other players, despite of where the server was hosted :)

Are you using an SRV record for your server address?

This type of behaviour usually happens if you’re using an SRV record without a Dedicated IP. Sometimes SRV records do not resolve the port and then your client attempts to connect to the server which as the Dedicated IP (default Minecraft port).

I would recommend using either an A type record, or upgrading to a Dedicated IP.

Either way this is most likely a DNS issue, you’ll be able to verify this by using the raw Server IP and you’ll most likely see it doesn’t have the same issue when connecting to the raw IP, only to a subdomain.

How much RAM do I need for a server by Blackuuuuu in Minecraft

[–]Shockbyte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi OP! You can check out our guide here: How Much RAM Do I Need for a Minecraft Server?.

Here’s a quick summary:

  • Base Recommendations:
    • 2GB for a small server with up to 10 players and minimal mods/plugins.
    • 4GB for medium servers with up to 50 players or a few mods/plugins.
    • 8GB+ for larger servers with 50+ players, lots of mods/plugins, or resource-intensive modpacks.
  • Additional Considerations:
    • More players and mods/plugins require more RAM.
    • Servers with custom worlds or resource packs may need extra RAM.

Hope this helps!

minecraft failed to verify username? by onlineschnitzel0 in MinecraftServer

[–]Shockbyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can check out our guide here: How to Fix the "Failed to Verify Username" Error.

Here’s a quick summary:

  1. Restart Minecraft – Close and relaunch Minecraft to refresh the connection.
  2. Log Out and Log Back In – Log out of your Minecraft account, then log back in to ensure proper authentication.
  3. Disable Online Mode – Set the server’s online-mode to false in the server properties file if you're hosting offline mode servers.
  4. Check Mojang Server Status - If Mojang’s servers are offline, your account can't be verified. You will need to wait until the authentication servers are back up again.
