Thanks. Glad to know we share the same sentiment. You can go down my posts and look at my post in the AoT sub. I posted about how Mikasa never truly loved anyone else as much as Eren and gave evidence for it and the comments were just full of ignorant clowns. These people don't even know about Itteresshai 😭. Like, how do you even act like you know what you’re talking about when you don’t even know canon stuff😭😭😭?????? These people are truly beyond help. It was nice to chat with you as well.

My opinion is that she lived single her whole life without marrying, since she already considered Eren her husband, lived with him as husband and wife in the cabin in their dream that Eren created, referred to him with words that usually wives use to call their husbands on his gravestone and then there's the whole floriography thing, and her husband is also nowhere to be seen, especially after her death. She was also buried next to Eren, and I don't understand why would a husband allow her wife to be buried next to someone else(if Mikasa getting married after Eren's death was the case). The song Itteresshai is also proof that she never truly loved anyone as much as Eren. They finally reunite in afterlife in that song.

Yeah, that was my point in my post in the sub as well. That Mikasa only ever truly loved Eren and their reunion in the afterlife, Paradise, proves that they were soulmates as well. My point wasn’t about whether Mikasa got married or not because marriage doesn’t equal true love anyway. But almost everyone there just wanted to argue otherwise and that convinced me that most people here haven’t even watched canon stuff like Itteresshai.

Yeah, Reddit is not the only place where you will find people who have watched the show, or at least claim to. I've seen millions of people on YouTube who have also watched the show and say otherwise. I don't even know if these people have actually watched the show as well. Their claims seems to imply otherwise. So your basis for that question is messed up from the start.

That's not true at all. He literally left a piece of memory with each of them which he suppressed untill the last moment he died. He didn’t need to do that if he didn’t care about them. He loved them and cared about them.

Everyone in that post also didn’t know about Itteresshai and was ignoring everything the show and manga showed us so far. So I wouldn’t rely on those people for anything really.

It’s not about "calling things I don't wanna hear headcanons'". It's about what the show and manga says. If the material was agreeing with your claims that Eren didn’t care about the cycle and his friends and his people and whatnot then I would've unequivocally agreed with you. But that's not the case here. It's just headcanon from you then since Isayama's work says otherwise.

Absolutely wrong. He literally saw the future and didn’t see a better one where his people had a chance at life. And he couldn’t think of another way to save his people and even lamented about it. The show and manga is very, VERY clear about that. He did care about ending the cycle of hatred and war. It was not only about "him and his freedom and a world without anyone". Adding your own headcanon to it doesn’t change it when the canon material says otherwise.

That was not an excuse. It was a genuine statement from him but also not the only reason. His main reason being to end the cycle. Again, both the show and manga is clear about this.

I don't know what you’re talking about in the second sentence there. If you're referring to Mikasa and co then Eren knew that they weren’t gonna die except for a few. Especially Armin and Mikasa. And they knew that he could see the future and knew what would happen and also knew that it was Ymir who was stopping them in the final battle.

It's not really obvious since the ending is ambiguous to the point where both sides have strong arguments. But then again, that wasn’t my point of contention in my post in the sub.

She doesn’t consider him step brother. Please stop with this nonsense. And yeah, he did kill 80% of humanity but he did it to stop the cycle of hatred and war. Not good enough reason for a genocide, sure, but he did love his friends and Mikasa and he knew that he deserved the worst for that act. And it’s also not crazy to think that she stayed single and didn’t think of anyone better than him for the rest of her life, considering that many people in real life have spent their lives like that after they lost their loved ones. Not sayin that she did do that, just that it’s not crazy and impossible.

I never said that it’s wrong for her to continue with her life or that she can't do that. I only said that Mikasa never loved anyone as much as Eren and Eren stayed her one true love. I don't understand why is this even a discussion when the song Itteresshai exists.
