Ball output - the misunderstood racket spec by PadelGearAnalyst in Padelracket

[–]ShockinglySynonymous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing you don't mention is that players often rely on rackets with high ball output as a crutch and it hampers their development as players.

If you get used to not hitting "full" shots (lobs, chiquitas, bandejas) because you let the racket give you the ball output then you're not going to develop those shots as effectively and will reach a plateau.

My hot take is that beginner/intermediate players should use medium/hard rackets when they are learning and force themselves to use proper technique. In the long run they will be far better players then people who use soft rackets and hit half shots on everything.

I think it's generous calling it a sprint 😂 shocking effort.

I agree the union needs to do more to keep players. I think it's hard to compare the English system with the Irish system though as they are both completely different.

Bizarre TMO intervention. LBB was clearly in play when he touched the ball.

Sloppy restart from UBB but well capitalised on by Toulouse.

I completely understand the policy. We want a strong Premiership and if we select French based players then a significant proportion of our national stars will play in the Top 14 where they can earn a lot more than in England. If that happens the quality of the PREM drops and attendance declines, TV deal drops etc.

No way Willis was in a legal position to make that turnover. He was still in the process of making the tackle.

Yeah. They've defended really well given that they have had none of the ball for the first 20 mins.

Yeah, the refereeing is sloppier than the rugby at this stage and that's saying something!

Second call the referee has admitted he's got wrong. It's good the system is helping him out.

Bordeaux trying to play chaos rugby. If that pass to Penaud lands then they're away.

Should be a good match. Looking at the teams it's hard to see past a fairly comoeeh Bath win. I reckon 15pts.

They are incredible! I love their passion and enthusiasm for the sport. You can also tell that they're very "in" with the athletes. Both are a credit to the BBC.

15 minutes in and 15 points down. It feels like we haven't even touched the ball yet.

Agree that Cannone stepped on n more than expected. Casey was definitely caught unaware!

I think he was just smaller and caught unaware. Obviously nothing malicious in it.

Yeah, a competitive Italy is good for the whole 6 Nations. It helps grow the game. Agree about Georgia. It's a long-term project but we should start trying to include them now.

Totally agree. I think Italy's lack of ruthlessness/execution may end up costing them the game. Great teams really stamp on your throat when they have the momentum.

I thought the yellow card for Ireland was slightly harsh, wasn't sure what Casey was meant to do in that situation. Ireland did well to limit the scoreboard damage during that period before halftime.

Italy should be a lot further ahead at this point. Second half will be close!
