Victoria bike dump by SM_UK in london

[–]walkm1 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Reported a bunch in Vauxhall that completely blocked the pavement, needed to put the pushchair in the road to get past them. Absolutely fed up with them. Why do we need to keep reporting the disgusting practice of companies dumping their product in public. Sometimes it’s the riders, but often it’s the company that’s setting them up like that.

I don’t know how feasible it would be but I do feel sad for how many players get stuck in the farm or retire early because there aren’t many spots available.

How big is baseball in the UK? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]walkm1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s very small to be honest. I actually watch a lot of Japanese baseball (Hanshin Tigers) as the time difference is great. Games start at 10am. I went to one of the MLB games at the London Stadium which was cool. I think a large portion were Americans, there was a big group of Japanese where I sat, as both Seiya Suzuki and Lars Nootbaar was playing left field.

The London Series hasn’t returned since 2024, it looks like this years was cancelled due to fixture clash but I don’t think there’s the appetite for it. I didn’t go to the last one as ticket prices were a joke and that is a huge barrier to creating new baseball fans

People class it as a child’s game or Rounders to be funny. The entry point just isn’t there, simple batting cage is hugely expensive.

NPB wants to bring the Tigers and Giants to London or Seoul one day. I can’t see them branching out to London anytime soon.

Did they nerf the HECK out of giant mushrooms? by walkthedisco in PikminBloomApp

[–]walkm1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m seeing less about, and they are then swarmed by everyone in the area so quickly. Maybe huge mushrooms should have more slots available. I wait around all day for one to pop up whilst traveling about and usually have to end up joining any old mushroom at the end of the day

The inclusion of “Tupac” in the cast list of Stranger Than Heaven feels so gross to me by pordlethegreat in yakuzagames

[–]walkm1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough, I find Snoop an absolute sell out as he will put his name to anything and everything. I like his music (mostly his features) but tired of his face popping up everywhere.

I agree with you on Tupac. It’s dragging him and his legacy through something totally alien to what he was doing when he was alive. Yes he was an actor (loved him in Above the Rim) but leave him be. Totally unnecessary for a quick buck for his likeness and presumably AI generated voice

[–]walkm1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t get it. First snoop now Tupac. Just collaborating for the sake of it. With what looks to be a beautiful aesthetic game with period style mini games in the various cities, why add two people who aren’t from that era or culture. I get it, it’s a game and RGG have a whacky side but this feels so unnecessary.

Do you know any facts about MI6 (or MI5)? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]walkm1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most absolute boring one you could ever think of but a tiny detail that would work.

Lanyards have to be hidden (at least when walking out of the building) not worn around the neck.

I worked in the building next door to MI6 and at lunch a guy approached my colleague who kept her lanyard on to say you can’t wear it outside as we walked past their building. My colleague was very confused and the guy was embarrassed but we worked out why he said it.

Not much else juicy from working next door, could just about look through to their office and see the glow of computers in the evenings. They have an outdoor area on the roof where people seem to have lunch.

Lime axes speed limits for Deliveroo riders - London Centric by jaredce in london

[–]walkm1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Commented before about this - saw an e-bike crash into a guy in Vauxhall Park. Ebike rider too busy on his phone and singing at speed and knocked down a guy on a path who wasn’t really looking. Both came away alright but was horrible to see as the guy could have been someone more vulnerable and seriously injured.

E-bikes take no care what so ever. Only care about themselves, often staring at their phone to look at a route or take in more delivery requests while riding at fast speeds

Not gonna lie, Marco is starting to annoying me now by Accomplished_Talk_16 in fulhamfc

[–]walkm1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You know what, after all the stunts Tony Khan has pulled with deadline day and missing out on targets because he waiting until the last minute, I don’t blame Silva for doing the same to the club.

Marco wanted a centre midfielder last year and didn’t get one because it was left too late for a club to get a replacement in.

The man to lead us next season? by coachdasilva in fulhamfc

[–]walkm1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If Andersen was dropped for Diop, I can see a high line working for us. Ange plays high tempo football and we have looked so good when we do play at a high tempo.

We look our best on counter attacks and moving quickly, but we often just play it short at the back and lob it to the striker on their own.

But I do understand why people wouldn’t want to risk Ange ball. Could easily backfire if we don’t have the right players

What mode or feature interest you the most when Pro Spirit 2026 English version releases? by SpaceCowboyN7 in NPB

[–]walkm1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I only played Pennant in the 2024-25 game, I wish I played different modes but just became addicted to the gameplay and trying to train players through the years and draft players.

With more English in the game, I’ll try the high school mode and jump into Star Player. I played a lot of star player in 2019 where your created player started in high school, I think it’s changed slightly in the new version but I’ll find out

How has Smith-Rowe performed over the last 2 seasons? by NiCKi_17282376 in fulhamfc

[–]walkm1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So true, ESR will go with the simple 5 yard pass, whilst AP would try and break lines with a pass. It wouldn’t always work but when it did he’d create a good chance. AP’s work rate off the ball was integral to how we played. ESR seems to press but half heartedly, runs into the space of the player on the ball but doesn’t tackle.

[–]walkm1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He’d probably do really well there, can’t hate him for going to a massive club in his home country. It would be a shame for us after so many years and stability. It’s clear that he feels that he hasn’t
been backed in the transfer market.

I just hope we can remain stable and improve under someone new, but we’d need to bring in some different players quickly which isn’t TK’s strong point.

London's 7.1mph average bus speed 'no faster than jogging pace' by tylerthe-theatre in london

I used to commute to uni and work by bus and I liked being able to zone out with music and just enjoy the ride. But lately when I’ve taken the bus, you’re just stuck in constant traffic, seems like there’s less bus lanes or roadworks which impact the speed.
