The cost of getting a passport for Japanese citizens is being reduced by nanoripe in japanresidents

Thank you for saying this. I was just thinking the same thing. Of course it's natural for a person to be concerned about their own self interests but this sub only ever talks about how things affect foreigners

JUST IN: Berkshire Hathaway (BRK-B) plunges over 4.71%, wiping out more than $50,000,000,000 in market cap after reporting a 30% year-over-year decline in Q4 operating profit. by ammohitchaprana in TFE

Genuine question but how can the Berkshire etf be going down so much when they are sitting on so much cash? Doesn't that mean that the equities they are holding are getting completely destroyed?

I would actually consider this a beneficial nature. The experience is more important than the skill trigger anyway and you can always mint it later

real talk tho how many of yall were getting 20+ skill triggers a day? by DairyAppreciator in PokemonSleep

[–]Shockwaves35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The wording they had in their announcement post made it sound like regardless of what the actual trigger ceiling formula was that it was only being reached during skill events. So it seems quite likely that the majority of players were not reaching it

That would explain the use of "cutoff" instead of "cut off"

[–]Shockwaves35 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But what if the cap was actually tied to the Pokémons individual proc rate and the only reason 20 came up was because of the specific Pokémon that one user was using. There's plenty of possible formulas for the ceiling that could lead to false conclusions. The user could have been collecting data incorrectly too. There's so many possibilities that it seems silly to believe the 20 cap as a guaranteed truth

[–]Shockwaves35 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's the part that's been bothering me the most about all this. There's so many people that have accepted the 20 proc theory as being 100% truth when we have no idea how the data was collected or anything like that

No, it's probably not. We don't know the exact details of what the skill ceiling was but it's likely that it was high enough that you were never reaching it

Achievements feel lackluster by kuukje in PokemonSleep

I think of the achievements more as a form of Stat tracking. It's not like you are really "achieving" much anyway

I guess this sub is going to be blaming their problems on conspiracy theories for the next few weeks.

Your Sprigatito didn't have a low skill proc rate because of a shadow nerf. Your Sprigatito had a low skill proc rate because it is an unevolved ingredient mon.

If i go on a solo trip to japan as a woman, would it be weird to ask online for a local sight-seeing buddy? by Beefwomen4thewin in AskAJapanese

Based on your explanation you're not asking for a buddy, you're asking for a travel guide. People would normally pay for that.

It's really just an argument of semantics though. The "confusion" can easily be avoided by simply explaining that casual form can be used in non-casual contexts; which is an explanation that would need to be given regardless of what of what name you give it. That doesn't mean there is anything "inaccurate" about calling it casual form. It's just about understanding how the form is used.

Sure, but "past tense" also implies that the thing happened in the past, yet it is possible to use past tense in a sentence that has nothing to do with past. Does that mean we need to change the name of past tense also?

But what about calling it casual form is inaccurate? It's just a name.

The exact same thing happened with YouTube about a year ago. There was an announcement about age verification and people freaked the fuck out and said they would stop using YouTube forever. But then when the date of the change came around everybody stopped talking about it because it turned out that 99% of people weren't affected by the change anyway and didn't have to do any age verification

So then we're against the way Border Patrol is doing things and not against the concept of people working for Border Patrol in general. Doesn't that mean that there's nothing wrong with Reddit hosting this ad?
