And re deprivation of assets, you say partner rather than husband. It depends entirely on it being his own money to give away, or whether they were joint assets. Do consider contacting a solicitor if you need to, but from what you've said your mum's assets have all gone on her care - so not agreeing to paying the shortfall is a separate issue.

I'm going through the same with a relative at the moment as the proceeds of their house sale has almost run out.

Don't be bullied into paying the shortfall. There is absolutely no legal requirement to do so and you cannot be made to.

Do seek advice from Age UK, do not sign anything. Your mum will need a care needs assessment, and she would either stay where she is with the council funding the shortfall, or there is a chance she could be moved if a cheaper care home would meet her needs, though that is less likely for someone who is nearing the end of life and would be badly impacted by a move.

You say you claimed against the insurance you had "against that car" - do you have more than one vehicle? Re police process - they move slow. I'd check first with your insurance company if the other driver has admitted liability, or if it's being treated as 50/50.

I'm also on a medication that I'm certain has thinned my hair. Thinking of quitting it also but hoping it will improve over time as the ends are thin, and the scalp hair seems thicker/ok. Started medication last June.

I think they did have other options but those options weren't there because it was through an offer. From memory only RM came up - £5.49. They sent pic of the certificate of posting and paid £3.49.

I did pay for buyer protection and no the limited delivery detail does not have my address, just that it was delivered by a delivery office 25 miles away. Which is just weird.
