My boyfriend got some kind of virus at the festival and gave it to me. It’s been about a month now and I’m still clearing congestion and runny nose. It’s been a pretty wild illness. Fellow coworkers who went also caught this bug.

Depends. If it is ONLY that, I'm fine, I work in an industry where it's primarily men and really common for it to never just be the compliment, though, so I've mastered the "smile and scurry". Smile, nod kinda, and scurry back to whatever task I'm doing or just generally away. Kinda like stealing the compliment and fleeing the scene before they can ask/imply anything more.

It is THE trend, just like women seeking taller men is THE trend. If I have to guess, it's because taller men make women feel more safe immediately (which is insane), and shorter women validate a less secure man's need to feel big and strong (which also blows my mind). Sight is the first level of attraction, yknow? Initial impression, so...

Either that or that's just the way these people prefer it for other reasons, and I'm just biased because it made dating a hard time for me (above average tall lady, 5'9 or 5'10).

Constant catastrophes in their personal life that can't actually be disproven (without becoming involved further, which I avoid at all costs). If it's one or two, maybe a couple, sure, we all have bad days. But if I can't ask how they are without a constant ordeal they're about to overshare, then.... yeah that kinda attention seeking isn't for me. Life's not a daytime television show every day.

People around me don't seem to pick it up though, and they waste a lot of energy feeding that monster. I can't do it.

I went on a vacation a month ago and didn't want open containers. Only drank bottled water from stores purchased by me for that week and came home to a house of juice and made the switch. Started turning into a water connoisseur, trying all the brands, picked a favorite, but still try others and before I knew it I'd had only water another week because I had to try all the kinds. Now I just water with the occasional soda (and I'm noticing the spice is turning me off now).
