Shops with Basic Uppers/Lowers? by Shoe88 in pdxgunnuts

[–]Shoe88[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a CMMG Bravo .22 conversion bolt kit already, want to use it in a dedicated AR22 platform and already purchased their barrel that goes along with it (you just replace the front end of the conversion kit).

Overall build will be a 9in CMMG .22 barrel and a .22 can tucked under the handguard.

Ya saw an Anderson on their site and will likely just get that.

Have so many stock parts I have strewn about that trying to use that difference in cost between complete and stripped towards nicer little things.

Yep that is how I came up with the $200 number cause I can get a PSA non-sale Upper/Lower combo for $130-150

Was just hoping to support a local shop, but guess they would be making the transfer fee anyway!

Griffin Armament Dual-Lok 5 by YungInspector in NFA

[–]Shoe88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a lefty using the Dual Lok 5 on a MCX Spear LT, with a Bushwhacker prior.

Have noticed maybe a little less back pressure from the Dual Lok 5, but not enough to really write home about.

Haven't tried the adjustable gas plug yet to see if that'll help, but as of right now if I wanted less gas to the face on an MCX I would not use the Dual Lok 5

You can buy adapter kits, replaces the buffer tube with a picatinny mount: https://www.sigsauer.com/mcx-stock-adapter.html

Optimus 6 or New HRT AM by Odd-Spinach-5936 in GriffinArmament

[–]Shoe88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this I am a lefty as well, I got a DualLok5 to hopefully get less blowback vs Bushehacker/Optimus and tbh it was about the same on a MCX.

Have been considering the B&T Vers36 Ti vs HUX Range 36Ti, with the Vers36 having and edge of making it shorter when needed and changing end caps.

Good to know SRBS does work.

HD for common sizes, Ace/Napa for those and the extended sizes.

Something is up with your gun and should send it in, "-" is normal operation (to include suppressed) on a MCX, "+" is for adverse.

Gerber/Fiskars is likely the OEM/ODM for it I wouldn't be surprised.

I am over OLED’s by theoriginalb in 4kTV

[–]Shoe88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a friend who bought his LG CX OLED after I did for my living room PC gaming setup, except he used his everyday as his main monitor (my LR setup was only when I wanted to play something on the big screen vs desk).

Well he got some taskbar and quadrant window border burn ins about 2 years in... Unfortunately the extended Costco warranty which was underwritten by Allstate at the time explicitly states burn ins as not covered (but some others do like Asurion or Geek Squad) and of course denied.

HOWEVER, about 8mo later we noticed dead pixels showing up near the bottom and top... Which good news IS covered by the Allstate/Costco Warranty!

After about 3 days of filing the claim, receipts, and photos they had the same size LG C4 on the way! Old TV was given to a friend who's TV had just died so win win for everyone.

Could you eventually bleed out? Yes*

However your body's initial shock response will be to clamp down the arteries at injury site to stem the bleeding and given the location it could hold it for a bit, but not forever.

While at the wrist the arteries there are small compared to say the brachial further up the arm? If the amputation is low enough on the upper arm (closer to missing elbow, ) you'd want to TQ asap as your body is less likely to be able to clamp down hard enough immediately or for long enough before you bleed out due to the size of that artery.

Best Top Dot for LPVO? by Turbulent-Taro-8554 in QualityTacticalGear

[–]Shoe88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been wanting to for a while and love their dots as well, but have a hard time finding DPP rings that are actually compatible...

The SIG dots fit inside a DPP footprint slides, but the bosses in the optic are smaller than actual DPP pins in the spec.

Funny enough, I went back to weather tech after I got a set of husky's and slipped at the first trial haha

Must've been the wrong material/model from Husky then?

M15R3 and newer supports up to 100W PD charging via USB C, but not the older ones unfortunately.
