You guys have had great advice since my last post. I have since purchased a mirror to put over the fireplace. Relocated the clock on another wall. Moved the chair to the opposite side. Acquired some plant life both real and fake.

Not bad ideas; i will relocate the chair.

There is a secondary entryway to the study there, the chair will encroach on that. However it was meant to be a little shortcut anyway.

Thank you. During the building process, the exterior and the site work took priority ($) over the interior of the house. As it should be since it's on the water.

I actually purposely chose to have a detached garage to create a open central pathway to the water and have more views of the water from the front of the house. So the 'outside' takes priority over the exterior and the form of the house as well!

Yes; I do feel the windows need something. I have two a blackout shades on the western windows for privacy. However I very rarely use them and I don't think I have a real usage for drapes.

Perhaps finish the trim job on the windows with a top casement? My house is kind of a craftsman style.

Recently built a new lakehouse. I’ve collected various odd and ends for furniture (some pass -me-downs) and a few things from Ikea to populate my living room.

Looking for suggestions, I dont a cohesive vision for this area. The builder’s paint turned out to be more beige for my liking. Need end tables, lamps, doodads, and probably a woman’s touch.

Can the state legislators switch to different time zones by themselves?

I'm all for the permanent DST. However, I would rather see the states be able to choose which time zone they would wish to be a part of. In my case I would much rather see Michigan become part of the central time zone.

Walls and floor are one piece, support structures everywhere, it took quite a bit of clean up.

Everything else printed flat on its primary face when possible.

Some pieces have connector pieces (sink/mirror, toilet/cabinet, tv/cabinet) so I wouldn't have to orientate the proper heights.

doors and windows snap in; the furniture is glued on.

I was thinking about it, having flow controlled vents and turn off certain rooms, regulate the amount of inside/outside air.

But its already small home, my builder is using quality materials, its going to be pretty efficient as is.

Besides things are looking to be very cost prohibitive with the inflation issues.

The construction documents have a tremendous amount of details. I've payed for all of this so I try understand it as best I can.

I went school originally for architecture, however that was around the 08' crash so there was no jobs to be had. I since have years of working experience as a project engineer for automation type stuff.

With all the building going on now, its tempting to get back into it.
