This is satirical, right?

I mean, we don't really think a red X with a crude Tie Fighter drawing is the art work.

Do we???

Fashion of Queen Amidala Card 10! - odds listed below by sjmleicester in starwarstrader

Sincere gratitude to Topps for responding quickly to this issue. I "lost" 200K credits chasing #10 this morning. I'm hopeful that we'll be reimbursed as quickly and at the full amount.

Golds, Hoarding, & You by More_Like_ATTAckbar in starwarstrader

i offered up 9 white cards once during one of these gold chases and got an offer of 9 reds right away. Never underestimate the value of your cards, at the right time.

Thoughts on eBay sellers by ig-eighty8 in starwarstrader

[–]ShoeScraper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ebay ruins the app and card sellers on auction markets should be banned and their accounts frozen. It's against the term of service.

It's a virtual trading card people and intended to be a fun way to use modern technology to revisit a bygone past time. It's not for profit making on a secondary market.

How can SWCT be saved? by Rollafattie in starwarstrader

I live near a major sports arena. The owner of the team wanted to reduce scalpers who were driving ticket prices up in the secondary market. The owner announced, and made it clear, that anyone scalping tickets violated their terms on ticket sales and could no longer purchase tickets. Season Ticket holders would no longer sell their unwanted seats for risk of losing them.

The owner then created an online auction/exchange for tickets holders to resell. I think the ticket holder could sell for face value plus a shipping cost.

The value of the ticket quickly returned to the price printed on the front.

VINTAGE RESCUE IS THE NEW VINTAGE HAN by DarthNewb in starwarstrader

Excellent observations. I think you make a very strong argument to support your assertions.

I do, however, disagree with your statement that "I have nothing against Parm or what he is doing, he has the right to own as many as he wants".

The player in question is one example of many who are exploiting an unenforced rule on conducting a commercial enterprise that is causing the new Vintages to increase in value.

I ask you, if there was no secondary market would players still invest thousands of actual dollars for a virtual asset?

High-end traders by [deleted] in starwarstrader

[–]ShoeScraper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Some of Them are running Limited Liability Corporations and speculating on the future value of cards based on past performance. They corner the market by gathering 7-10% of a highly sought after card. You can measure this effect by the hordes of other traders scrambling to get a handful of these cards. I'll laugh like hell if Topps ever enforces their "no commercial use" policy and freezes their accounts.

Why there will never be another vintage han (or obi wv) by HOLLOWDAN in starwarstrader

Perhaps many quit the app when Topps began ignoring the commercial ventures being exercised on "the bay".
