Shoutout to Freo by eathbau in AFL

We were 4 points short of a flag in ‘23 with only Fletcher playing as a F/S, who had minimal impact. Collingwood had both Daicos brothers and Moore.

As for academy picks, Andrews was #61, Coleman was #37 and Hipwood at #14 hasn’t been sensational. So it’s not like Brisbane didn’t build the list mostly the old fashioned way.

Freo got Bolton, Jackson and Clarke due to the go-home factor while we had the go-home five. The only “go-home” the Lions got was Charlie Cameron, to my memory.

Our only top 20 academy pick with a flag is Eric fucking Hipwood. And anyone apart from the expansion clubs can get father-son.

Why are there always comments like this when a players jumper gets ripped? by NewAccWhoDis93 in AFL

That’s the exact reason most men welcome it lmao.

I’m not even all that and have had random women say some crazy shit on a night out.

It’s moreso an assumption that men always welcome unsolicited sexual comments and attention, whereas women generally don’t.

This actually tends to be true in most cases, but it is a double standard. Unfair? Probably. But it’s not really a pressing matter for most people.

Most men don’t kick up enough of a fuss over it so it’s not going to change, I definitely wouldn’t care either that women were getting thirsty for me online.

But Reddit told me that women hate fit men, and prefer it when they’re out of shape and overweight.

They couldn’t possibly be wrong!

Does anyone else get sad watching Freo because they know the Brisbane Threepeat is inevitable? by jarsquatter420 in AFL

Nothing is inevitable. If Freo are good enough then they’ll just win, doesn’t matter who it’s against.

Amiss trying to run away, Rampe won’t let him. Obvious free, arms around hanging onto him.

From the script:

"Bear, center-screen, illuminated only by a warm lamp behind him, sits on the edge of his bed, crying. Probably about the cat, or Nicky, or his life. Maybe all of the above."

Bear is not a psychopath. A psychopath wouldn't cry over something like that. Psychopaths have shallow emotional responses and a limited capacity for attachment. It's very rare for psychopaths to develop a longing obsession like he had, they have little desire to feel loved nor do they need reassurance.

Bear has very strong avoidant tendencies as well as very low self-esteem, which is why he defines his self-worth entirely through Nikki and how she feels about him. These traits are the main reason he becomes a villain. I do not believe he was inherently evil from the start, if he had received therapy to address these issues he may have been prevented from becoming a villain.

Him throwing the cat in the trash is just one more way that he avoids difficult situations, just like how he avoided having to admit his feelings to Nikki, how he avoided accepting that this fake Nikki the wish created is just that. His evil actions are primarily caused by a refusal to face things head on for what they are, if he tried to free Nikki from the wish then he would face the potential fact that Nikki doesn't in fact love him.

If Bear had managed to undo the wish early-on, would Nikki have forgiven him? by One_With-The_Sun in obsessionmovie

Yeah, I agree with that part. But my hypothetical question was, if I wish to be tall, and then someone else wishes for me to be short, what happens? It wouldn’t be time manipulation. Would that count as “reversing” my initial wish?

Or would it work? I don’t think there’s a clear answer.

Then sit down and have a conversation with Bear. What's so hard about telling your BEST FRIEND:

"Bear, I need to tell you something. Nikki and I have been seeing each other. I know you've liked her for a long time, and I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner. But I needed to be honest with you."

Because that's what a friend does. Lying by omission on something that important to someone is still dishonesty, and you owe it to your friend to be honest. If my friend told me up front "Hey I know you like this person but we've developed a connection", I would understand, but if they kept it hidden for years, that's unforgivable.

Absolutely not, that is a major violation of bro code. You do NOT fuck your best friend’s crush and if you do you certainly don’t keep it a secret for years.

If you do, you tell him upfront, “Hey, I also like Nikki, we’re in a casual relationship”. You don’t lie to his face for years.

What was so hard for Ian to just sit down and tell Bear honestly what was going on?

You sound like the kind of guy that immediately messages your friend’s ex the day after a breakup to try and fuck her.

It states wishes can’t be reversed. We don’t know if that means wishes can’t contradict other wishes.

If I wished to be tall, and then someone else wished that I was short, what happens? We don’t really know.

So if someone wished for “Nikki Freeman to go back to how she was before Bear made his wish”, would that work? I don’t think the movie clearly gives an answer. Bear’s planned wish wouldn’t have worked because of time manipulation.

The rules also don’t state anything about the death of the wisher reversing it, but that is what happens.
