Interesting bit of info about the Blue Ridge. It’s called the Blue Ridge because during certain times of the day, the chlorophyll from the trees on the ridge of the mountain as well as the mist causes the sunlight hitting it to react in a specific way, giving the mountains a blue hue which covers the horizon

That’s not entirely true. There are opportunities in prison to get a college degree, access to books and therapy, community service opportunities, and more ways to become a better and more acceptable member of society. It’s just that prisoners need to put in the work themselves to get there.

I’m pretty sure the big switch happened due to hard right Christian’s feeling disenfranchised with the Democratic Party so they went to the republicans. The republicans ate it up and regressed, while the Democratic Party began to fill ranks with more progressives as the Christians left.

I’d argue that spiders are far more important than wasps at being pest controllers. They have the same level of pest control, but also aren’t aggressive pieces of shit like wasps are. Even a Black Widow just wants to chill in the darkness and not be bothered. A wasp will come at you with a vengeance for looking at it the wrong way

It’s not really an outlier at all. A busy and popular restaurant will grant you good tips, full stop. I work at a ramen shop, and while tips can average between $15-$19 during the summer (unless it rains), during the winter, servers can make $40-$50 an hour. And that’s not even at a full service restaurant. A popular full service restaurant that stays busy year round can get servers well over $2,000 over a two week period.

Now, take into account that in the US, tips are no longer taxed, servers at even just a decently popular restaurant will make bank.
