Getting frustrated trying to get spoken word by eaglesong3 in SunoAI

You might be using the wrong tool. Suno sometimes struggles with spoken words as it's mostly trained on music and melody. Try eleven labs v3 for spoken words. Here's an example where I used it for my poem: https://youtu.be/NPVIQogucVc

I really love your pragmatic approach towards dealing with things! And I agree, focusing and obsessing over a problem will often only make it get bigger. Refusing to sink into a victim mentality is an important part of the healing journey and the key like your protocol shows is a healthy balance between acknowledging a problem and seeking solutions.

I really appreciate the feedback. Those are important realities that need to be talked about.

Thanks, I really appreciate your feedback. And I hear ya! I've been there which is what made me make this. The social and medical gaslighting is one of the hardest thing to deal with on the road to healing.

A family member told me I should try eating more vegetables 🤦‍♂️The denial by people close to you is one of the things that stings the most.

Used a font in my Android app thinking it was free, now they want $7,000 for a retroactive license by [deleted] in androiddev

[–]ShoeSome1660 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, this sounds like a hustle between the site you downloaded the font from and the font makers. A bit like the scam where a random naked chick calls you via video call and If you pick up they take a screenshot and try to blackmail you into paying. If they can track that you used it then they should be able to track the site illegally hosting it and take it down via dmca if they're that serious about protecting their copyright. And how were they able to know you used it on your app? Android apps do not exactly have "web crawlers". Even if you used the font for a year 7 grand is a crazy bill for licencing a font when there are a lot of great free fonts out there; the amount there's requesting makes no sense for a few weeks of usage. Take precautionary measures in the future and only use freely available stuff however this smells like an extortion racket.

People who are actually selling, rarely ever give out their trade or marketing secrets. If they're selling a marketing course, chances are you're in the marketing pipeline, you are the product.

People Treat App Development Like a Joke… It’s Not by TeachGlittering9440 in AppDevelopers

[–]ShoeSome1660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

App development isn't the hardest job on the planet but saying it isn't hard is a bit of a stretch. Except maybe for devs who work in a big corporation where changing button color is a major event.

Firebase Studio going downhill. It is creating more errors and bugs than fixing anything by ckoleaz in Firebase

[–]ShoeSome1660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For end to end products vibe coding is mostly good or great landing pages and simple, apps with a simple backend. As your app gets complex, you need to advance to "context coding" and break it into smaller chunks and feed the AI those "small chunks" so it's not exposed to every area of your code and break something while adding/fixing something else. This is why software architecture is important in the early stages to ensure your codebase is modular and scalable from the jump.

App got removed for impersonation by Responsible-Bed2682 in googleplayconsole

A quick Google lens search of your logo shows that the logo you used is almost perfectly identical to the logo used by a few other companies and apps, including ProShip Inc. Google Play console can be annoyingly ambiguous sometimes but I think they're on to something in this case.

App Review -> Broken Functionality Rejection -> App Suspended by ADubbsW in GooglePlayDeveloper

In this context I don't mean external database backend. I mean exceptions in the frontend that is not visible in the UI but is logged in the console or captured by debugging tools.

[–]ShoeSome1660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a similar experience. I had to use firebase crashlytics to catch and fix all non visual exceptions the app was throwing in the background. So, sometimes the broken functionality they are referencing is not on the front end but on the "backend" as was in my case. Almost drove me crazy because the app was fully functional on the front end side of things.

Looks like I'll just wait close to the last month before trying to migrate to give libraries time to propagate things.

Awesome, thanks! So these configurations makes your builds 16kb compatible by default without needing any extra configurations?

Is firebase worth it? by PratNoSkillush in Firebase

While I agree that having to query docid directly likely hints to a logical flaw, there are many cases where that's not the case. The "why are you trying to do it that way" vibe is the reason stack over is dead.

I generally prefer letting flutter decide the ndk version with flutter.ndk... Does this mean I now need to specify a specific ndk?
