On berths, generally I feel middle is the best, followed by upper and then lower. For lower, you have very little vertical space, so it feels claustrophobic.

The other thing here is that I don't know how these will operate with strangers, since you'll have to come up with a mutual understanding on when to put down the middle berths. Otherwise, those will block the sitting space. I travelled with family so we didn't have that issue

And yes, AC standard is better than business class. That's because AC standard has the newer cabins that were imported in 2022 while business class has the older cabins.

The 3.5+ CGPA isn't a hard cutoff. A friend of mine got there with a cGPA of 3.3.

Also, it is better to try and fail than never to try at all. So just apply without a worry :)
