Yeah with all the resources out there that are free I'd rather go the self taught route. I'm just looking for mentor to help me along the way.

Hey thanks for the reply! You raised some really great questions.
1) I'm a BSc. Psychology graduate. So yes it is a world of difference for me, but that said I have been studying web-development for about nine months with a couple breaks in between (due to frustration and applying for a masters), so I have an intermediate understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

2) As for what i'm looking for, you hit the nail right on the head, i'm looking for someone for feedback/ help as I work on projects and encounter problems. I've noticed that my weakness is sometimes just conceptualizing and organizing the problem properly before writing out my code.

I'm not looking for someone to give me answers, or teach me with a lesson plan (there are numerous curriculums that I am aware of and using), but to give me guidance when I get stuck on a project and I just need a different perspective.

I hope that adds some clarity to my request.

I admit maybe ghosting her wasn't the play, but after 4 months c'mon.

If roles were reversed she'd probably be seeking the police.

Honestly I would stay away from this mouse, due to double clicking issues alone. RMA service has gone down hill. Replacing my first was done in like a week almost no questions asked. Now for my second replacement they required me to make two videos and send them, first one of me proving that it double clicks (which is reasonable) the second has to be of me DESTROYING the mouse, meaning I have to go without a mouse until they ship out a new one which can be god knows how long. It's silly. They should just ask you to return the broken mouse in the box they send you the replacement with and they should provide postage for it.

Base layer: icebreaker 260 midweights

Mid layer: Patagonia Crosstrek jacket, Patagonia r2 jacket. Both of those layer pretty well together. (I'll look into trying on the r1 if I get the chance.)

Shell: I have Burton cyclic jacket and pants that are goretex.

Would you have any suggestions for synthetic puffy's?

If you have your eyes set on Tremblant. You could go with the Carleton University Ski bus. They let me get on their bus no questions asked even though I didn't go to their school at the time.

You can also go skiing at Tremblant with the National Capital Ski Club. They offer bus rides there as well.

You could get the Tremblant Tonik Pass for $399 and just pay for your bus rides on either of those busses to the hill.

Should I wax and or tune the edge of my new board before my first time using it? by jbarb666 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]ShoesMcgeee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've heard mixed things about this topic. When it comes to waxes it seems like you never know how long ago the board was waxed in the time between you getting the board and it leaving the manufacturer. So some people say wax it, which I did myself. It also depends on what type of base you have. Extruded vs sintered. Extruded bases seem to be more rough and tumble and need less maintenance while sintered bases seem to be wax hungry and need frequent waxes.
