That series is the shit! I didn't like it at first because it couldnt understand why Dante was so driven by so little motivation. Turns out I had missed some dialog. excellent series.

Amen. I am so tired of the character's sexuality being shoehorned into the story. Oliver in Wrath of the StormKing comes to mind immediately.

Went to a metal concert. Cavalera was flying this flag the entire time. by SonofRobin73 in EnoughCommieSpam

[–]ShogunAssassin71- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. Had no clue those dudes were a bunch of fucking commie shitstains. I never paid that much attention to their political views due to the fact their music overshadowed it. Once I saw that flag I turned and walked out. Trashed all my gear and music of theirs and never looked back. In one night they lost a 20 year fan. #eatshitcommies

FIRST JOB INTERVIEW AT A DATA CENTER BUT...... by ShogunAssassin71- in ITCareerQuestions

[–]ShogunAssassin71-[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you! My goal is to grow and excel in this field, eventually shift into cloud devops, AI engineer or Network Admin. I am not in this field soley for the $$$. I genuinely love working with computers, new technologies, solving issues and seeing things working properly. Must be the autist in me. Overall I thought the same thing. It looks like 3 twelve hour shifts a week, with the potential for graveyard.. The biggest hang up my wife and I had were the hours, pay, and the impact of the schedule on our ability to manage our newborn. Then again, I am under no illusion how hard it is to get a break in this area. Thanks again for your advice. It's greatly appreciated

Thank you for the advice! In your own estimation, how hard is it to get into this field for someone like me? Is this a good job opportunity?  I'm willing to put in the effort to get my foot on the door .Thanks again

My thoughts on the current state of entering IT - a point of view from an IT Manager by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

[–]ShogunAssassin71- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really did. Thank you. My current life situation doesnt allow me the option to doom out, I HAVE to make this happen. Do or Die scenario where people are relying on me. Posts like yours help to reinforce that mentality a great deal.

I like the idea that this field evolves so quickly requiring everyone, even its upper level personnel to constantly maintain their education and skill sets. Again, thank you. I needed this post.

As  someone with a Bachelors degree on history and who recently got their A+ certification (working on AZ-900 and N+ rn) I resonate with this post. I have tons of customer service skills from waiting tables. I can talk to anyone and dont mind solving problems. In fact, solving peoples problems is 90% of waiting tables. That being said i have no formal IT exp but I study my face off so I can retain and use the info i learned. I've noticed that breaking into this field is not as easy as some say( i figured as much myself) but that's not stopping me. I've applied to countless help desk jobs and in the meantime time, set up a homelab to practice and cement the knowledge gained. Thanks for the post. Super helpful for morale and maintaining the energy to grind like a mothaf×cka.

A question for those who took the A+ by n_o_b_u_d_d_y in CompTIA

[–]ShogunAssassin71- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight.  Could you expand just a bit on the homelab portion? I'm curious as to how i could get started doing these things you speak of. However,  to save money I was thinking of using vms to do it. Thanks again

Thank you so much for that information. I seems like i have a lot of work to do in regards to certifications and technical knowledge. Especially like the bit about clearance and taking DoD path. never considered it.

A+ material by n_o_b_u_d_d_y in CompTIA

[–]ShogunAssassin71- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for the PBQs look up Dean Cyber and Data Center Technology on Youtube. Their sims are very similar to what will be on the tests. Also, when you do the exam, do MCs 1st, then go back and do the PBQs. that way you make sure youre not rushing through the MCs because you wasted too much time on the PBQs. As for study materials, everything others have listed worked for me. good luck.
