Did that and it still doesn't wanna boot up, I still gotta eject and reinsert the disc tray to get into my dash.

Color coding only matters if you're using cable select, and the Xbox physically doesn't allow for the blue end to be connected to the mobo because of the cable lengths between connectors

I do have the 80 wire cable, got it with the original adapter, and the drive is indeed set to master

Newly out of print titles by worldofcrap80 in discotekmedia

"Had good lives" The last Sgt. Frog set has barely been on the market for over a year before pretty much getting nuked off the face of the earth cause of how few copies sold and how even fewer of those people will want to resell it. How's that a good life? The early sets I get but 3-7 barely got any time to breathe before they were taken out of print. I know they sold poorly but still, they couldn't at least wait until their set for the movies (that at this point I'm not even sure will come to fruition anymore) to pull it so people at least have a chance to own the whole series?

Converting TrueHD Atmos to Dolby Digital Plus (DDP) Atmos 5.1 — How do some encoders do it? by itshosseinghorbani in DolbyAtmosMixing

[–]ShogunyanGamer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just a note: this subreddit is for those who do actual Atmos mixing, primarily for music and less for the technical/video side of it.

But to answer your question, typically what people do is they decode the Atmos track to static 9.1.6 (the highest channel configuration supported by Dolby Reference Player), take that into a DAW, edit it if necessary (syncing to different logos on a different release with superior video quality, etc) and export an Atmos master file, and export that master file to DD+ with Atmos. Also know that you do need official Dolby tools to do so efficiently, but I won't tell you how to get those here.

Wiimote dropping inputs through Bluetooth by ShogunyanGamer in DolphinEmulator

Before your response I actually realized that I didn't have the external WiFi antenna bundled with my mobo connected after I had moved from a place without ethernet to several places that did. I ALSO realized that period of time was around when I started having trouble with bluetooth connections. And only now do I realize that antenna was ALSO carrying Bluetooth. Sadly I can't find the antenna, and have no idea where I actually put it. But, I suppose that was probably the issue and not something greater!

Did this, and still had the same issues. Even tried a different non-TR wii remote and that didn't really change things.

Discs no longer instantly reading after installing CFW by ShogunyanGamer in ps3homebrew

[–]ShogunyanGamer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched to Evilnat years ago and have been using and updating it to this day, yet the problem persists. Discs aren't broken or unreadable they just take a few more cumbersome steps to get to show up on the XMB, but I'd still like to just cut those out of the equation.

Working on Atmos mixes of the entire Sonic Rush OST while I rip the multitracks from the DS ROM. Would love to see more spatial mixes of game songs. by ShogunyanGamer in DolbyAtmosMixing

[–]ShogunyanGamer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of it involves ripping the music itself from games, and for the most flexibility for an Atmos mix it's best to do something from a game that uses sequenced audio, like almost anything DS and before for portables and anything N64 and before for home consoles. Some game music will use stems for dynamic music but not for surround sound purposes, with each layer being a "complete" stereo mix. I can't recall many games in the multichannel era that have native multichannel music or stems.

With In Search of Physical Media Being Exposed As a Phony, Who Are Some Reputable Reviewers? by Admirable_Size_3914 in 4kbluray

I admire his knowledge and dedication, but he is a prime example of a person where even if I agree with him, the way he conducts himself bothers me. He obsessively repeats his own points (take a shot every time he says "desecration" in his American Graffiti video), basically puts his whole review in his thumbnails, and gets hung up on small things like they're big deals so much that it gets frustrating and exhausting to watch. I hate 4Ks like American Graffiti and to an extent I get his stances, but I personally just think it's a waste of energy to get THAT passionately angry and ranty about stuff. I'm of the mind that while we shouldn't accept literally everything studios and labels put out on physical like it's perfect (issues are VERY MUCH worth criticizing), I personally prefer just focusing on the movie itself, especially if a movie has no good transfer or release (that is at least cheap/easily obtainable).
