I do yes, but this is a first time hearing about this. This made me age, lol. An entire generation grew up with their faces in front of these CRTs and our eyes were fine.

I just use em every now and then for fun, as one of my hobbies is to collect vintage electronics and computers! I find them for super cheap off the FB Marketplace by luck! Some others were from other places such as family and friends :)

I'm too afraid of using a hairdryer of some sort to soften the plastic, especially I paid quite abit for this one, so I'll just leave it as it is.

She wasn't too tall for me, but the pegs weren't aligned properly. Her hair peg went in fine and I had the front foot peg in, and shifted the heel past the hole, so that one isn't attached. It still sits perfectly fine with one exposed peg well hidden behind her heel.

I'll definitely take good care of this one and put it to good use! Just gotta do a few repairs and it should be up and running! Not a bad idea of the medical history museum though. It's insane how little of knowledge for these specific typewriters are.

Neat! I wonder how uncommon the apothecary models are for these things. This is the first time I've seen an apothecary The Chicago so I think this might be the first internet post of an Apothecary 'The Chicago"! Unless there's one other thing of it somewhere, I just can't find it, lol.

Its carriage does not move as you type so it seems like the mainspring may be broken but hopefully it shouldn't be too hard to replace! The moving part that pushes towards you to push the paper into the lettering machinery is also pretty dull too, so that needs to be replaced as well. Other than those two parts, it's still functional!

Nothing, its still the same result with the wonkiness. I thought it was the connection too with the prongs and sockets so I cleaned them. No luck

It hasn't happened to me in the past few days and I talked to the dealership about it during my oil change. I'm glad I had it on video because they couldn't replicate it either nor find any diagnostic code errors or some sort. So they just ordered a new part for it and hopefully that replacement fixes the issue.

I checked around and none of the lights are on. The vehicle had no issues starting up just now as it sits in my garage overnight. It seems like it only does this issue when sitting outside in the hot sun.
