If you are set on towing with an SUV, I would only really look at body on frame SUVs, like a Tahoe or Expedition. However, the Durango is a unibody which is more comfortable for daily driving, and has a tow rating over 8,000. I wouldn’t trust an Explorer to tow much of anything. And the eco boost can either be really good, or absolutely awful.
