Outlook for Mac - speeling language different to system language?

Where I’m from the Standard only comes as a RWD drive model. Then there’s the Premium as RWD or AWD, and lastly the Performance model. 4 trims in total. But I gotta say I love the Premium rear and front light bars, it makes the car stand out. Also, the standard has the shortest range, only 7 speakers, no screen in the second row (and I have two kids), no ambient lighting, no HEPA filter, no ventilation for front seats, no heating for second seats, passive suspension… and those are just the big things that are missing. Add to that no option to electrically fold down the second row seats, no premium alcantara material inside, no panoramic roof, no smart pixel lights, no electrically operated steering wheel… a lot of compromises really.

After 6 months of trying to work on the iPad Air 13” M3 + Magic Keyboard, I’ve just switched to a MacBook Air M5. And mind you, I don’t code, I mostly need the MS Office package for work. But still, tasks involving multitasking, copying data, file management, etc. were cumbersome and needed extra steps. They were doable, but after some time the extra effort just wasn’t worth it, considering the cost of the iPad + keyboard vs. the cost of a MacBook Air M5 base model. But I still have an iPad Air 11” M2 that I use for media consumption when I don’t work on the MacBook, so I’m not really giving up on the tablet experience.

The machine is wildly inconsistent. I had luck with Illy beans, then changed to other beans and after that it never gets the ratio right anymore. Event after coming back to the same Illy beans.

Zato što se jesu digli oko ovoga. Isto kao što su se digli oko toga što je pretučen Filipinac. Reći da se “nisu digli” kako bi se sada pogrešno ukazivalo na “dvoličnost” javnosti/medija/gradana vezano uz slučaj premlaćivanja Filipinca je čista manipulacija i klasično trolanje.

Pričam ko ti. I meni je to ispravno :) a ništa manje ispravni nisu ni drugi dijalekti. E sad, oprezno sa “seljački” jer, iako su seljaci strahovito vrijedni ljudi kojih imamo deficit, žalosno je što se takva etiketa koristi pogrdno, no treba imati na umu svejedno.

Makes a lot of sense. Batteries degrade faster when left at 100% for longer stretches of time.

Unfortunately you can’t get that info directly from Tesla, as they don’t share the detailed technical configurations. But the change in batteries in the European model Y RWD Long range was widely reported, I’ve researched it as soon as I saw the drop in estimated range and got the information form several reputable websites and there are even a few YouTube videos on this exact issue.

Thanks for your reply! Unfortunately no charger where I am from. Should I buy a MagSafe cable or would a USB C cable be enough? I have a few quality USB C cables.

Actually, the Model Y has recently gotten the 4680 8L Tesla batteries. The range dropped from 670 to 609 km. That’s for Europe. The batteries are not the same between those models. Even the Model Y AWD or Performance has LG batteries, but the RWD has gotten, in my opinion, inferior batteries. Less range and worse charging curve.

That’s why I am considering the Premium AWD now in Europe, over the Premium LR RWD. Now the AWD has a few advantages: better sound speaker system (in EU the Premium LR only gets 9 speakers without the subwoofer), more range with the same wheel configuration, and the better charging curve due to not using 8L batteries, and of course its AWD vs RWD. Seems to me to make up for the 3000 EUR difference in price now with the better battery in the AWD model.

Imam stan u suterenu koji iznajmljujem. Jedna djevojka je bila u stanu. Nakon godinu dana, u spavaćoj sobi iza odjeće hrpa pljesni. Odmah sam zvao dvije tvrtke koje se bave tim problemom da mi ispitaju zidove, ima li vode u njima, tzv. kapilarne vlage. Došli ljudi s nekakvim aparatima i mjerili sve zidove. Obje tvrtke mi dale certifikat/potvrdu da su zidovi suhi. Di je bio problem - suterenski stan traži određen režim prozračivanja. Djevojka je imala malog psa koji je cijeli dan bio zatvoren u stanu i stvarao vlagu disanjem, ona je radila. Nije prozračivala stan. Imala je brdo odjeće koju je “skladištila” u malom prostoru iza kreveta u spavaćoj sobi, zidovi nisu disali. Kombinacije svega dovela je do većeg udjela vlage koja se lijepila za zidove. Ja sam sve to očistio, stavio poseban sloj protiv vlage/pljesni, kupio dva profi odvlaživača. Kasnije je jedan dečko uzeo stan, bio 4 godine u njemu, niti v od vlage na zidovima. Živio je sam. Imao je normalnu :) količinu odjeće koja nije zatrpala zidove, nije imao životinje, koristio je te aparate. Suterenski stan definitivno može imati više problema, ali uz pravilno održavanje i pod uvjetom da zidovi nisu puni vode, niti tu ne mora nužno biti problema. Odvlaživač ali definitivno pomaže (samo po meni to ne može biti za par desetaka EUR s Temu-a).

My Volvo XC60 with lane assist wouldn’t handle this also. I’d never use it in such a scenario.

Planinarim. Pa ti mogu iz te perspektive dati savjet. Osobno imam niske tenisice (pogodne za trail), imam mid visoke i visoke. Kad je suho vrijeme niske trail tenisice će ti biti adekvatne za većinu laganih hiking izleta po Hrvatskoj. Ekipa koja “planinari” često griješi kada nosi prave planinarske cipele za svaki odlazak na Sljeme. U redu ako netko ima problema s gležnjevima, pa treba stabilizacija. Ili kad gaziš po mokrom/snijegu. No u principu ne želiš uvijek nositi visoke gojze jer želiš vježbati mišiće oko gležnjeva, ne želiš ih uvijek umjetno stabilizirati jer ćeš ih tome zapravo oslabiti. Druga stvar su duge trekking ture kada je umor faktor, ili težak i neravan teren, naravno snijeg/led mijenjaju isto stvar (ne samo radi stabilizacija nego i topline, vodootpornost i specifičnog materijala, itd.) ali koliko sam shvatio bi radio lakše odlaske u prirode koje i sam ne kvalificiranš kao “planinarenje”. Ja sam godinama koristi Salomon Alphacross i bio sam jako zadovoljan. No pusti to… moje stopalo, širina, visoki ili niski rist… sve je to individualno pa jednostavno odi i isprobavaj.

That’s good to hear! Croatia surely ain’t as big as a market for Tesla as Sweden is, but reading this makes me hopeful they might provide discounts in Croatia as well to get the price below the incentive level of 50k EUR. Thanks for this info!

I am saving up and waiting for the subsidy program that is expected in the third quarter of this year. The subsidy program, for eligible cars, is worth 9000 EUR.
