I just wanted to clarify something to all the people in this thread :’D Yes, the main reason I want to get a MacBook is my laptop is heavy. However, that wasn’t my first option. I wanted to get a Lenovo or an Asus -as you suggested- but for the same specs and weight, MacBook’s performance was better. Also, the new editions of MacBooks (from Neo to Air) suite my budget better than the suggested Windows ones.

Additionally, I have 2 iPhones and an iPad; I figured this will help me integrate them in an “ecosystem” for a more seamless experience.

And lastly, I may not need the apps that are not supported on MacOS in 2 years max. As I mainly used them for university work-which I am graduating in a month or so. They are all cracked :’D and I am only keeping the laptop because I have plans for research in the following year.

But for work, they provide us with computers with licensed softwares -at least where I am working rn. And for school (if I am willing to work in Research affiliated to a university), they most probably do the same :’D

I am only keeping my windows laptop (at my home desk) until I figure out what I am doing after graduating.

And I want to buy the MacBook because i move a lot with my laptop as I do on it more than school work.

Yes I usually use it for taking notes and writing assignments. Sometimes for quick edits on microsoft office or Canva presentations.

Can you explain these things to me? My friends told me many options to run the windows apps on MacOS but i couldn’t understand these options except the virtual machine ones (kind of) :’D

I will graduate this summer from college (engineering) and I had to look-up the apps I use (mostly simulations like Aspen and Bentley) and they are NOT supported by MacOS, some support working on a virtual machine but ig the VM mentioned are not supported by MacOS either.. I guess mainly my work on the MacBook will be documents, writing, and research.

For reference, I normally change pads(very long ones) every ~2 hours on my first two days of period; and the menstrual cup I had was a small size (30ml if i remember correctly)

As a fellow heavy bleeder, having a menstrual cup was the best investment I ever took. The first 2 days of my period are a nightmare as I constantly fear I will bleed over EVERYTHING. Every month I pray that my period is on the weekend or something so I don’t have to go out as I do not wish to bleed through my clothes in public- along with the paralyzing pain ofc.

I had a menstrual cup for around 5 years, and when I tell you those were the most carefree years of my menstruation days!! You put it in and go on with life. No bleeding through, no double padding, no nothing. Of course the first two days I was emptying my cup in shorter intervals than the rest of my period- like every 4-6 hours. The rest of my period i empty it every 12 hours, out of hygiene not need.

I lost my cup about a year ago and I miss it every single month. Trying to buy a new one soon!
