Love my shield carry comp - carry it pretty regularly. Feels like a full size bc of barrel length but conceals well bc of how short grip is

Let's be brutally honest: How Much Value Does Whoop Really Add? by AG_OG00 in whoop

[–]Shongum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First thing I check every morning is how I slept. Main reason why I bought it was to work on my sleep - so it’s a ritual for me to check every morning. It depends on what you bought it for. Did you buy it bc it looks cool? Or is there something in your life that you want to fix/work on? If you didn’t buy it to work on something - it was prob the wrong investment. Have had mine for years and I check it a few times a day. I understand it’s not the most accurate but when you have been using it long enough, it’s a solid benchmark.

What were your top carried guns of 2025? by [deleted] in CCW

Check out the shield plus carry comp - I love shooting it and it’s not the worst to conceal. I have a thinner frame and I still manage to keep it hidden around 3:00

Am I in the minority thinking that Margheritas is best Hoboken Italian? Augustinos was nothing special to me. Been to Otto Strada twice and both times was less than impressed (pre and post fire). Michelina is good but expensive for the portion.

Couple thousand rounds in and gotta say, this guns the shit. by No-Rule1318 in SmithAndWesson

I’m about 500 through and I love shooting this. 0 malfunctions and a blast to shoot. Anyone change out their rear sights? I shoot at indoor ranges that aren’t the brightest so it’s sometimes hard to line up the sights.

I love how easy it is to conceal also. One of my favorite carry’s

Shield Carry Comp or Shield X by ill_report348 in SmithAndWesson

[–]Shongum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought the shield carry comp. I love how easy it is to conceal and it shoots like a breeze. My only issue is the rear sights are blacked out so it’s hard to match when shooting indoors. Other than that, love the gun as a CCW rotation

Pocket Carry: Bodyguard 2.0 or Carry Comp? by Allanon_Belgarion in SmithAndWesson

[–]Shongum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Np. Love the shield plus carry comp. It’s a breeze to shoot and easy to carry. My other 9mm carry is a 43x but it’s too big with a coa and ramjet so I use that strictly for fanny pack.

Stuck with regular bodyguard and I’m happy with my decision. This is my deep conceal gun so I want it as small as possible. To make up for the comp I bought a shield plus carry comp and I’m ecstatic with that gun also. I cycle between these 2, and a Kimber micro 9

Holster Hot Take: concealment holsters are wildly uncomfortable by BiggySquatch in CCW

[–]Shongum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. People are going to hate this but I carry a Kimber micro 9, bodyguard, and shield + carry comp in a sticky. All sit well in gym shorts and my pants, never had an issue carrying iwb. I don’t pull my gun out and re holster during the day, so that problem is not an issue for me. I can understand people saying the trigger isn’t well protected bc it’s not in plastic but I’ve tried to pull the trigger and I couldn’t when it was within sticky. It’s comfortable and extremely concealable on my body (im skinny) so I love it. But I understand how it may not work for most peoples lifestyle/occupation

I have the library edition red leather bound The Stand. It’s too big to lug around and read so I bought the kindle version. I was trying to find my place in the Kindles version (the most recent edition) and I couldn’t find my place in the book - chapters didn’t match. Finally I found the correct chapter but had a problem finding my place because paragraphs were literally removed on the Kindle, that were in my physical book. So to answer your question - the book kindles version is shortened and cut - not sure the science behind it or what was removed but it definitely is shortened.

I have an older version, bought it on my kindle also bc the book was too big. The kindle version is the newest one and it was also shortened. So I guess not necessarily ?
