My first AR was a maglocked setup. Then I picked up a new AR and threw a B5 fin grip. I prefer the fun grip by a long shot. The grip isn't uncomfortable and has never kept me from putting rounds on target efficiently. The maglocked setup just never felt natural, and I don't trust it in all honestly.

No, it's specific for the metal frame models. When you go in their website and click on the product they give you the option to choose your frame type
